Portable Vietnamese Instrument Violin Electric Dan Bau Monochord Zither Made in Vietnam

Wonderful Dan Bau for the price!Mine came wrapped in authentic Vietnamese newspaper. The body construction is strong, given its portability. Bend rod seems sturdy. Roughly 108cm in length.I had to make two adjustments to mine to make it more playable:-Move the bell assembly up to about 6cm from the bottom. When mine came, the bell was too low, and deep bends were impossible. Wrap electrical tape around this spot on the bend rod, to keep the bell from moving downward. When tightening the string, make sure it is affixed in the middle of the bell.-File down and put abrasive tape on the bottom of the instrument on either end. The stock construction is very slick, and will slide around on carpet.Also I found it helpful to indicate the location of the harmonics with masking tape.That's it! Tune to middle C and you're ready to go.

I don't know if this only happens to my purchase or not, but the item is broken when I open the mail box. There is a huge crack on the body and the tuning module is even broken into two parts! I am now returning the item and hope I can get a refund. Good luck to me...

I bought this last month but notes sound ok, 3 other which closed to the horn is not good. I have not returned yet, and try to buy mega phone to try again, it not go with any installation manual, note chart to how to play. I am not happy for so far!
