Works perfectly if you follow the instructions and read other's Youtube reviews first
Bought the Einscan SE and it worked perfectly out of the box. I did do a lot of research from other's reviews so there were some tricks to make the scans work better.Before purchasing, make sure your computer can handle 3d scanning. My setup is an AMD 1045T, 16GB, and an Nvidia GeForce 1050T video card with 4GB. The more powerful the GPU, the better since the software is GPU intensive.Setup requires downloading the drivers and manual from Einscan's company website. The files do not have the correct file extensions. If your computer does not recognize the files, rename the driver with the extension ".exe" and ".pdf" for the manual.Do your scans in a pitch dark room. This is a structured light scanner. The camera can pick up stray light if there are other light sources that overpower the scanner.If you need to prop up an object, use a transparent base. The scanner can not scan clear items, so this works perfectly.The software does an excellent job of stitching multiple scans into one object. It requires merging using 3 identical points from two scans. The software also does a watertight mesh and will export as .stl or .obj file formats.

One word: Wow
So I have used this machine for all of 2 hours. That includes unbox and setup time. I’ve already produced two usuable scans of miniatures straight out of the software. It’s as close to push button as it gets for this type of tech. Very impressed. I will update if I encounter problems but if I keep getting results like my first two scans, I’ll be extremely happy.

Would not scan the size it claimed. The detail seemed to be lacking also. But I probably expected way too much for the price.

Install failure with online license
Like others have said, while installing the software, the device fails during install because the license server is unavailable.How frustrating is it to have everything all installed but a single online service prevents your system from working. I am hoping their customer service gets ahold of me or I will be returning within the week.

Great product packed well. Haven't hooked it up yet. I will add to this.

Terrible Product
Would not go online and the only way I could turn it off was to unplug it. Very disappointed.

Still working on it, haven't given up hope.
Set up is not easy. Make sure you have a capable computer.
