This thing is fantastic
The media player has managed to play every video format I have thrown at it for the past couple of months. A really great product and you will not believe how small it is.The remote is powerful enough that you don't have to point it directly at the receiver.Get an HDMI cable to keep things simple and enjoy the best video quality.The unit will read both FAT32 and NTSF formatted hard drives, but it only can copy, past, delete files on a FAT32 drive.Never hangs up, starts up very quickly, and the on-screen menu is so simple you never have to read the manual.No problems with powering a USB hard drive.

Doesn't play large files
I bought this to play large mp4 files of our church services. The file was overt 600 meg. When I tried to play it, it didn't work. The file will play on my pc, but I want to watch it on a large screen tv. I had some problems with the unit powering on as we'll. I had to fiddle with it for quite a while. When it get some time I will try it again. It does play smaller mp4 files though.

Works Wonferful
This product arrived as the shipper said it would. With this we are able to hook it into the tv and use the external HD to watch all of the movies and shows that are stored on there. We did find out that the HD has to be below 1TB in storage space. All in all this was well worth the price.

AWESOME!
This device opens up a whole world of downloaded material for me and my family. The ability to watch every single popular option of video is incredible. I don't know why others are rating it low, straight out of the box it flat out performs the way it should. I would highly recommend it for anyone that wants to take their content from the pc to the tv screens. Buy a good HDMI cable and point the remote at the device you want to control...like you should to begin with! Have fun enjoying the stuff you had on your hard drives on your computers on your larger smart tv's!

Buy only if you can't afford a better one.
I'm pretty broke so this one is the only media player I could afford. Bought so I could watch movies from my computer while still using my computer for other functions. It says 1080p but I have never gotten more than 720p. Very flimsy and lacks some functionality.

Watch home movies and listen to music anywhere, this device delivers! Just hook it up to any TV, monitor or projector. The only drawback is the remote. It does not respond unless you point directly at the device, for the reason of 3 stars.

Lasted 9 months
Very happy until it died after 9 months. Bought an IncrediSonic IMP150 which lasted 1.5yr. Now going to try a KDLinks HD230.

PLEASE DON'T BUY OR U WOULD LOOSE EVERYTHING ON YOUR PORTABLE HARD DRIVE
i love this player but i can do the same thing on my smart tv but now my portable mybook hard drive no longer works it was plugged into the player,it was working before now i lost everything i had saved on my hard drive and everything it gone it won't even boot up any more, thanks to this device, i lost over $5,000 worth of movies and apps and all my pictures and downloads i had on it,it wasn't a cheap mybook either it is a 2tb harddrive now thanks to this so called device EVERYTHING IS GONE GONE GONE,i'm very pissed off because of this device,i'm lucky it didn't fry my new smart tv or this company would be suited, so don't buy this device please or you be out of money and everything u worked so harde to save,i mean i had over 1,500 avi movies now all GONE.
