Bachmann Industries Brill Trolley - New Orleans (Desire St.) N Scale

I received this trolley yesterday and it was advertised as lighted or illuminated. It is not. There is a very faint light that comes on, but no internal lighting to show the passengers outline. Bachman said they would not work on it even though it falls within their one year guarantee. Bachman said I had to return to the place I purchased it and we knowAmazon is not a toy train repair facility. I gave it a one star because it does run, but very disappointed in Bachmann lack of responsibility to make good on the warranty.

Excellent operating and decorated trolley consistent with Bachman's track record of excellent Brill trolleys. The color scheme mirrors that of Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee and makes a nice addition to the trolley section of my N scale layout. I must like their Brill trolleys, I own 26 of them. They are incredibly hardy in awful operating environments and Bachman is very helpful with repairs when you finally run the wheels off of one of them. I have probably put hundreds of scale miles (maybe even literal miles) when I had an oval down town trolley loop in my office on each of my Brill trolleys and even used the drives to power other interurban bodies. The Bachman Brill drive is an excellent choice for the N Scale Juice Jack operatorAnd Amazon offers this trolley at a great price and ships and packages it well. Plus they are willing to ship to the customers preference, which in my case is US Mail. I tend to have problems with UPS and FEDEx and many vendors insist on ignoring my US Mail preference but Amazon was very accomodating and I got my trolley in perfect condition and it ran perfectly straight from their box to my layout (N scale steam/ trolley/ interurban/heavy electric)

Just what I wanted at a great price.

I'd think twice about doing business with these people again. First trolley stopped working within second year of use ( it probably ran for a total of 1 hour on a three foot track each of two Christmases. Returned to company for repair & repair cost, after waiting over 5 weeks, would have been almost cost of new trolley. Sad part is Philadelphia company less than 2 hours away.

Great little addition to my N gauge layout. Came as expected. Ran great out of the box. Very nice details, would definitely recommend this sweet little trolly to anyone's layout/collection.

I have n scale brill's in my junk drawer going back 20-some years. But this one ran excellent after a few hours. I wanted two NO's trolleys, but in case, I bought only one. Giving it a week... if it continues to perform like it has been... I'll by my second one.I HAVE MY SECOND TROLLEY; runs great... great slow speed.

Nice looking trolley and hefty too. These are trolleys after all so no couplers. Mine had some oxidation on the wheels and the lights came on but would not run. I brushed the wheels down with Marklin track and wheel cleaner and got it going, sounded rough, cleaned them again. It runs ok but sounds a bit noisy, may just need breaking in. It was a low price, so I am not expecting too much, but my other Bachman engines are much quieter right out of the box. Nice detail in this price range. My track is clean and other engines run smoothly on it. Bachman code 100 EZ track.

ein zum Verlieben schönes Fahrzeug aus der guten alten Zeit mit vorbildgerechter Detaillierung. Die Beleuchtung gib das Erscheinungsbild des Vorbildes wieder und das Fahrzeug fährt in beide fahrtrichtungen vorbildlich leise. Das Motorengeräusch erinnert an einen echten Brill-Trolley. Auf jeder Amerikaanlage ist das fahrzeug eine schöne Abwechslung und ein echter Blickfang. Spätestens beim Preis sollte man al Fan zugreifen.
