Very nice socks....esp. for this price. They are referred to as "warm".....I would say they are a nice balance. Not too hot in summer, and not too cold for winter.....but within a scale of degree (no pun intended). They lean more toward a warm weather sock than cold weather. Not because of the amount of merino wool.....rather just that they aren't too thick (but not thin either), so real cold weather they would likely not be sufficient (say below 20 degrees F).They are very comfortable. They don't slide around....stay up. Soft to the skin...but seem to be durable so far. Quality is far greater than the price tag would suggest. I have purchased twice, so that should tell you something.

I wore two pairs, one over the other, when it got super cold. Seemed to stay warm even when I got my shoes wet. I'll probably but more. Well made socks seem to be hard to find these days. These are pretty good.

Immediately we noticed these socks are Oh so soft. I wear a size 12 and they fit perfectly.I wear these socks to work. I’m primarily a truck driver but, my duties also include working inside a uncontrolled temperature warehouse, no air conditioning or any heat in the winter. Currently, it’s September and the warehouse temperature looms around 80 degrees or so and my feel very comfortable. I will use these socks thru the fall and the spring season. just bought another pack of six.

Nice quality thick socks. Should be great for hiking but I haven't had a chance to try em out yet so I really cant say for sure. They did shrink a little after the initial wash but are fine and held their shape.

I had bought from this same company in the Women's size so I decided to buy these for my husband. Mine had never shrunk in the washing machine and still have not. These shrank with the first wash. They shrank enough that if I decide to wear them, they're tight on my size 8 foot. They sure don't fit a male size 11 foot.

These are socks made of wool. They keep my feet warm.I like these socks.

I wasn't sure about these as they were not nearly as thick as the Hi-Tec brand socks I had.I was very pleasantly surprised that on my 9 mile hike up Mission Peak in Fremont, CA, they worked great!In fact, maybe being a little thinner was better?I am taking them with me up Mt. Shasta, CA. next week, August.We will see long term life.
