THE NEW VERSION OF DACRON RECURVE BOWSTRING REPLACEMENT B-55 DACRON STRING is the newest version of Dacron bow strings. It’ll give you the exact stretch as the b-50, giving you the same amount of power while shooting, while getting a less permanent stretch, allowing your string to last longer. In addition to all that, the B-55 will provide a smoother and more consistent shot each time.NOW JUST CHOOSE THE SIZE THAT WILL FIT YOUR BOW AND THE AMOUNT OF STRANDS TO FIT YOUR SHOOTING NEEDS:When choosing the length, The AMO" (Archery Manufacturer's Organization) should be the same length of your bow, while the actual string length size will be 4” shorter than that. When choosing the strands, REMEMBER: The greater the draw back weight, the more strands you will need Recommended: Up to 40 lbs use 12 strands Up to 50 lbs use 14 strands Up to 66 lbs use 16 strands End Type: Well Served Endless Loop Type Color: Black

GREAT!
Great product, I use this for erotic asphyxiation. Nothing works as well as a dacron bow string. I simply loop one end through the other and clamp the other end down to the closet pole with a large caribeaner. The weight rating of 35 - 40 pounds is probably going to be a life saver, considering I weigh far more and its likely to break before anything bad happens.

Striing a-long
I work for a school district. Several years ago, after they stopped teaching archery, I pulled a old wood bow out of the trash,Ran across it the other day and what the heck lets shoot arrows at a dirt bank behind the house. Need a string. After trying to make sense out of the length needed formula I managed to order the wrong length. too short. Package received said 58 inches. Is that the bow or string? Measured again. Note: bow is 'Long Bow' style, (No re-curve) 60 inches tip to tip. - 4 inches off = 56 inches. Two inches shorter than then one I got! Or is this notation on the pactage the bow length, string? I tried to view the original order to see what I ordered, but Amazon wouldn't let me.One on line source said string groove to string groove. That would make the bow bow 59 inches...I'll try again. Or look for a set of Lawn Darts to throw at the dirt bank..I know this is crazy, but lets say the bow is 60 inches long less 4 inched, (stick out tongue think..) get a string56 inches.. Though I did? Nearest archery shop is 30 miles away. Road trip?By the by, I'm going by the rule of thumb here. Fist with extended thumb back of bow to string. the 58" is three inches beyond tip of thumb. That too short right???Great news received the correct string and it works great. WOW! what great service! A great string from a great company. This is just great!Asked to write more so here we go...great news! The shop felt my pain and made allowances for my iqnorenance regarding bow strings ad sent me the proper string. Nice to deal with people who take time to help new grunt brain archers in their time of personal perspiration peril.

Proper string fit for older model traditional bows
Many of the older model bows (recurves specifically) will not accept the Fast-Flight strings. Having a string that fits into the string grooves on the limbs is essential. This string (mine was a 14 strand for a 50 lbs bow) is the exact string for this type of bow, e.g. Bear Kodiak Magnum, Bear Grizzly, or any of the older Bear bows. The quality is excellent. My string is still in the "stretching stage", but so far it has performed far better than the Flemish Twist I was using. I think most people using this type of string will find it easier to maintain the proper brace height sooner than with most Flemish strings..... however this is just my experience and may not be true for everyone. There are a mixed opinions on the efficacy of the Flemish string over the Strand type Dacron B-50, but I have always preferred the B-50. Many times the "serving" portions of the string are better and the looped ends are almost always better as far as fit (again, string groove fit on older traditional bows). Much of the "plus or minus" of the Flemish string is contingent on the maker. Unless you have a really good string builder; the Dacron B-50 is generally more consistent in it's design. The product I ordered arrived before schedule and was exactly what I was looking for. I'm very satisfied. ------I wrote the forgoing response when I purchased my first bow string from you. I literally whore the first string out and decided to opt for a 16 strand string, as I felt the kinetic energy from the Kodiak Magnum might be too much for the 14 strand. Nontheless, the first string performed very well, given the abuse I gave it. I anticipate that the 16 strand will perform even better. Thanks for a very good product. N. Cummins

Tuned my bows with new strings
Tuned up my bows with these new bow strings, they arrived as advertised in length and fit well, seems to be durable product and I had no problems shooting. Check your unstrung bow length measuring distance between top and bottom of string loops this is OAL, string will be 4" shorter, on my kids bow I needed it to be just a bit shorter and followed the instructions to twist the loops shortening the string, works and shoots great. Pay attention to the proper stranding for your bow draw weight.

Exactly what i ordered
I haven't had a chance to take it to the range and use it yet, but it seems pretty good. The string is a little tacky, but doesn't stick to itself in the package and is ready to put on right out of the bag. The seller included some instructions on how to make a string nock, which is pretty neat.I may update this when i have a chance to use it, but just playing with it in my house, it feels great and seem like a perfect fit.

made in China
I guess there's nothing wrong with a bowstring being made in China; it just hit me wrong. That in and of itself is no reason to reject it. I can make a good bowstring but it takes a while. A Chinese citizen could do just as good a job as I can and even better. But, the quality was poor. When I strung my Martin Savannah longbow, it was clear that the string was too short. It was already "unwound" all the way; I couldn't lengthen it by untwisting. When I pulled both loops thru a "brush button" hole, the serving on one loop began to separate. That's never happened before. I'm returning it.

Quality product , but order fill error
I received an AMO length longer than ordered, but this review is for the product. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the string. All strands are tight at full length so the tension at draw is equally shared by all strands. The string is fully waxed with tight servings at both ends and knocking area. Being longer than what I ordered Vs shorter, I’m able to use the string so I’ll not return it. With the quality and price of the string, I’ll order again as needed.

Okay nothing special
Endless loop Dacron string made in China. Inexpensive. Decent material and craftsmanship. It fits my Black Hunter recurve and performs okay. The top loop is too small and barely slides on my bow limb when stringing. There is not enough serving below the nock point to cover the strands of the string when shooting three fingers below the nock. Maybe I can add some more serving. I will keep this as a spare and go back to a Flemish twist American-made string which cost more but is better made.

Not impressed.
Hi, not impressed with my purchase as I measured my old bow string.. 60 inches, the one delivered 57 inches! Then I read further on and the string will be 4 inches shorter than the one you ordered... Why?? When I buy other items you get the size you order, I realise I should have fead the whole advert... But why don't you advertise the size they are.I have now ordered a 64 inch string. The bow string looks great, so will try again.Sorry for rantGeoff

Perfect fit for my 68inch traditional bow
Very very pleased with this string, I have a flat bow with wooden arrows, I was struggling to find large nocks, so I got a lesser string string instead, perfect came very quick happy days.Thank you.
