Great for overhead tablet/phone mount in bed
I've used one of those flexible aluminum rods as a tablet mount for years, and this was a big improvement. More stable, less springy. Long term use it remains to be seen. I use this for a Samsung galaxy a 10. The grip has little grip pads inside the claws which hold the tablet in well, but from my old tablet, I have some tablet straps hooked around so it does fallout and hit my face. Useful for reading books, watching YouTube in bed to fall asleep. It also folds up well to get the tablet out of the way. The branket is fairly substantial, but I use pre drilled holes in my head board instead of the bracket, but I'm a unique case. For extra stability, lightly tighten the other screws at each joint with a socket wrench. I had to loosen the ones to mount the rod for the grip, so I just went up the line. The secret sauce for using this in bed is the double ball joint. I'll admit one of the ball joints is a little looser than I'd like. I've had several different of this style arm bracket over the years for architect style lamps, and I've always been curious what adding a third section would do. Honestly, this arm bracket feels the sturdiest that I've ever had, and may serve the bases for it. For those who have never used them, I should warn you that there are some fundamental limits to the arms: placement is typically the endpoint is along an arc centered from another arc. For example, it cannot drop straight down assuming the base rod is verticle.I like the white asthetic, I'm tired of all electronics amd accessories being the same hue that turns running cable into staring into a dark cave.I'll update this review should any big problems arrive, but for now I'm rather happy with it.

Heavy tablets tend to sag the arms when at full extension
It came slowly with multiple changes in delivery date. At first, seller promised a 11-week delivery date with a wide delivery window, then messaged about a speedup in delivery time, then a delay while asking me if I wanted a different color, then delivering within the original 11-weeks later delivery window. Packaging was good. The devices works as intended and is satisfactory for its price.I use it with my 10.1" tablet. I bought this stand because I got tired of always adjusting the flexible arm-type tablet holders when I pushed them away to move out from the recliner or my bed. It takes quite a bit of tightening to hold my 10.1" inch tablet and doesn't swing out of the way quite as easily as I had hoped. I recently demonstrated it to a roommate. Now that I demonstrated that it extends its arm all the way out, I had to re-tighten the arm hinges down even more to hold my tablet. I don't expect more than this from an item of this price but I would've paid a little more for better tightening/heavier/more adjustable springs to counter the tablet weight when fully extended. Luckily, I can just rotate the whole assembly out of the way either at my bed or at my recliner so that I don't much disturb the joint tension again.

I was not let down! It's everything I wanted and well worth the money.
I bought this as a replacement (Upgrade) for a goose neck model I purchased several months ago. For the most part, the old one did what I wanted it to do, but then I moved it, tightened it up just a little too tight and broke one of the 2 clamps that held it to the bed frame, so you could tighten it as much as you wanted but it was not going to stay in place. When I saw this, the first thing I saw was price. Let me tell you, you get what you pay for! I paid 10.00 for the original one, and this was a little more expensive but let me tell you, I am so glad I bought it. I just set it up. Took about 15 minutes, only because now I had options! Where was I going to use it?!? Oh and Im using a 7in tablet and it fits so snug, no worry about it falling on your head or the floor. Not gonna happen. There are holes for the charger and or earphone wires to go through. What more could you ask for! Great Buy!My advice, is go with stability. Old one wasn't even close to stable. I'd touch the tablet and the whole arm and tablet would shake. Not with the new one! The purchase was a good one, spent more on it, but with Prime, I got free shipping AND got it a day early! Thank you Amazon! And Merry Christmas to me!

Wobbly
I’m not sure why the bottom wobbles but it’s annoying. I thought maybe I wasn’t tightening it enough but my honey tightened it as well as he’s much stronger than me and it still leans and wobbles. Not really happy about that.

Well-designed and Sturdy
This is pretty neat. I use it with a Kindle Paperwhite. Mine is mounted to my nightstand, and easily swings out of the way when I'm done. The articulation on the mount is very adjustable. It makes reading much more comfortable, due to being hands-free. I do wish it was about 6 inches longer overall, but it is a good size if you value a compact design.

I’ve had this for quite some time and have never been able to get it to work correctly
I hate this I am handicapped and have multiple iPad holders there’s at least five of them in my house this is the worst one to date I’ve had this for months now and never been able to get it to work but why is because at one of the joints where they’re supposed to B a rubber gasket in a grooved circular piece you’ll never get a Tight enough I can only wonder if somehow mine was made without a gasket rubber they are simply has to be a piece missing because no matter what I do I cannot get this to stop spinning so that the minute you put an iPad on it it just spins right to the bottom facing to the ground As you can see from the picture I have tried every kind of rubber on hand in every the joints to get them to NOT just spin aimlessly I was able to get it to work on all the other joints except for this one Because all the other ones are ball joints but This one is some kind of proved half circle on each side come together around the grooved knob knob I can’t get this one tight enough the gap is to big as A rubber gasket is missing I’ll put a picture and try to circlet the problem area if it allows me to. Is a rubber gasket missing if you have one please send

Works as advertised!
Installed easily and holds my tablet quite well. Bounces a little, but not enough to bother me, and I get the result I needed.
