Update: Changed rating from 5/5 to 3/5. I’d give it 2/5, but it did it’s job for about 6-7 months. As time went on from my review below, I started reaching 20% pretty quickly. Once it hit 20%, it died fast (within 5 minutes). Over the past few weeks, my phone would start dying at 30%, then 40%...... and now it dies at nearly 70%. There’s no warning, it just blacks out. Then I plug it in, it turns back on, the battery is at 2%, and then within maybe 30 seconds it dies again. Except as soon as it dies (and is plugged in), it’ll continue dying and restarting over and over until I catch it in time to power off. Kind of frustrating. The battery still shows 100% efficiency, even though there’s clearly something going on. My husbands phone did the same exact thing within the same time frame. So, it’s gotta be the battery. So, in summary, it’s a good battery for a short-term fix, but you’ll need to buy a new phone within a year for sure.My iPhone 8 is about 2.5 years old and the battery life deteriorated at about 2-years-old. My husband has the iPhone 7 and started having issues with his battery life after it was about 5-years-old. Both our phones work pretty decent yet so it seems foolish to get a brand new phone just because of the battery. We both purchased iPhone batteries from this brand and have nothing but great things to say! Holds a charge really well, doesn't overheat, doesn't randomly die. It was a bit finicky to install, but completely doable. It also took the battery a little bit to adjust - it would die at about 20% battery. Neither of us have this issue anymore. Mine has only gotten that low once in the past 2 months since I've installed it. I recommend this brand!

After 2 years my iphone 8's battery died a slow and torturous death. I bought this product based on the reviews written by other purchasers. Not being electrically inclined, I asked my biking buddy to change the battery for me. He is an electrical engineer and he loved the tools that came with the battery! After 20 minutes the new battery was installed. Even though I've only used thephone for two days, I have found no problem with the battery's ability to hold a charge. It maintains the charge as good as the battery that came with the phone. My phone has been resurrected! Kudos!

Old battery would die after an hour of use, it was spent. My new battery gets charged every 2 days now. Do as they suggest and only charge it when it dies!

This item is amazing! Not only is the battery good but the tools and extra bolts they give you is beyond the price. I highly recommend this!

Battery life not as good as the original battery with less mah, but still happy with purchase

I was excited to get a new battery for my iPhone 8 as the old one was going through it charge fairly quickly. Installed the new one and charged it. From the very beginning it has been slightly better then the old one. It doesn’t hold a charge that much better and in a few instances the phone would lose power completely even with 18% left. It isn’t any worse then the old one, but I’m not too impressed with it being new

All was great with this product. I only gave the battery a 4 star simply because I haven't had the battery long. All the tools worked well.
