I purchased one for our 18 month old who loves my drums. She seeks out this drum whenever she visits our home, so we also purchased one for her home. Our 30+ year old son played it when home for Christmas, and he quickly conveyed that he would love one for his home. It's a lovely, relaxing, melodic, instrument that can be used for many ages. I actually set the drum sticks aside for our granddaughter, as the black balls can be removed, so a choking hazard. I used a bamboo toothbrush, wrapped it with cotton, then taped them with black tape with a bulbous end. These sticks work beautifully for little ones and safer than the drumsticks with balls that easily become loose.

I got this as a gift for my 1yo. He loves it! We all do! It is a very nice soothing sound and he us able to play it! And it isn't a dumb loud obnoxious noise like actual children's musical instruments hahaha.If you're looking for something for your Littles to play and not give you a headache, 10/10 this.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of this musical instrument. My son is a percussionist and collects instruments. He loved it. The sound is so pretty. Like a chime

I have limited musical training consisting of sight reading & playing the treble cliff. In my older age I have wanted to take up a musical instrument that I could play immediately. I saw this instrument on YouTube with Doug Dailey which sold me on this instrument because it sounded so beautiful when he played it.My purchase arrived quickly from Amazon & was carefully delivered by an Amazon driver & in perfect condition.Now one thing that you have to understand is that in general mass produced steel tongue drums may sound slightly out of tune & can be tuned. I cannot see myself tuning mine. Mr. Dailey's drum was provided to him for a review so his instrument was in perfect tune or he had tuned it at the time of the video. After spending time on my instrument, I have deduced that the 7(B) is somewhat off tune. The good thing is that there are no dead tongues so all tongues ring out loud & make a joyful noise. I wish that the instrument would not echo so much when played. The tongues are large which makes them easy to strike for young hands. I am not as happy with the instrument's performance as I had hoped to be. I thought that the numbers on the instrument were easy to read in the daylight hours. The mallets were long enough for my small hands. There was a little song book included, but the numbers on the song sheets were small & hard for me to read as a senior. I had hoped that there would be more detailed instructions as to how to how to play this instrument rather than just where to strike the tongues. If you are an adult & want free tutorials which give you free songs by the number, go to YouTube. I have used Simple Tank Drum, Soothing Kim Tongue Drum, Shelia Wilson, & It's Me Cello to collect free music that I have enjoyed playing. Some of these offer e-books which I cannot vouch for as I have not downloaded anything.This instrument is okay for a beginner wanting to learn the basics. As you improve you will decide that 11 notes are not enough & will want to purchase a 13 note instrument to give you a wider range of songs to play. No I would not recommend this based on the sound.

This was a gift for my sisters boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. The sound is beautiful and the case makes it easy for transportation. That was the second one I've bought!

The media could not be loaded.  I saw a tounge drum in earth bound for a 100 dollars. It didn't come with the book and case like this drum. This drum is just as good for half the price! All my animals fell asleep after messing around other drum for a bit. Super easy instrument and the book was such a nice touch. Doesn't bother my carpal tunnel at all like other instrument. It is beautiful and not as heavy as I thought it would be. Super happy with this purchase.

I bought brown colour and it’s beautiful. It looks very authentic. The sound is very beautiful and so serene. I’m a novice, but wanted to get this in order to try and I was able to play a few songs as it is an easy instrument to learn. Highly recommend.

ES una tristeza que siendo tan bonito, con un diseño tan lindo y buen sonido, terminen por ponerle los números, que son indispensables para aprender a tocarlo, con calcas de mala calidad. Cuando me llegó tenía el número 5 pegado fuera de lugar y también otro de los números. Los pegué en su lugar pero me percaté que todos estaban mal pegados. Lo que me dice que alguien ya los había pegado por segunda vez, cosa que no me extraña porque la pintura tiene textura y las calcas no son muy buenas, por lo que no se pegan nada bien. Sinceramente me sorprende que un producto de este precio no tenga "pintados los números". Habemos mucha gente que no nos es fácil memorizarlos como para que después de que se caigan, porque es obvio que se terminarán por caer con el uso, tenga uno que adivinar dónde está cada número. MUY A MI PESAR, DE VERDAD, porque me encantó el sonido y el diseño, pero me vi en la necesidad de mejor regresarlo porque no quiero verme en esas cuando se pierdan los números.

Cubrió mis espectativas

Always loved the sound of the handpan/hang drum so when I saw this I thought why not as price seemed right. As a musician (piano) I am quite pleased with the tone. If I am to be picky the Bb seems slightly out of tune, but I mean slight.The mallets are tiny but have a nice rubber to them. The stand is flimsy but can't complain, since I didn't buy this product just for that.Kinda wish the blue finish had been available for some price, but am satisfied with the gold.Looking forward to practicing and hopefully playing for others some day.UPDATE: After three weeks I am noticing that the finish is developing some spots? Seems to be reacting to something in the environment.
