I bought this dress to have something to wear my corsets with. I own quite a few and it's extremely difficult to find a dress that is snug enough that the fabric doesn't bunch under the corset but loose and flattering enough that I don't look like a lumpy sausage. ESPECIALLY after the corset pushes things around a bit. I am a lumpy sausage but this dress smooths things out without the need of shapewear.I probably would have for in a large but I was worried about the lumpy so I got the XL. It's not only extremely flattering with my corsets but I would be completely comfortable wearing it without them. Like another reviewer stated, it's elegant and sexy without being trashy.I am attaching a few photos of my initial try on session when I tried the dress on with some of my corsets. Ignore my face. I was trying to get pictures of the dress and corsets together. And I didn't have the corsets cinched up all the way. Wearing the red one with the dress for Halloween!

The navy blue velvet is perfect. It is a true dark navy. The size chart is spot on. The material is medium thickness and it does not show any lumps or bumps. At least in this darker color. It looks just like the picture on. The slit is not too high. It is a very classy dress.It fits great. I am 5'6 and the length is also perfect. No alterations needed. Thankfully, as it was a last minute purchase. The dress arrived in 2 days. So quick shipping.I am 35"- 26" - 38" and the small fits just right. Not tight. If you are 2-3 inches bigger then me, it will also fit you. It is also very soft on the outside and on the inside. :)

Lovely dress, well made and nice materials. I ultimately did not keep it as I am apple shaped and was a little self conscious of my tummy. If I dropped 10 pounds would be a keeper for sure. The zipper slit did not bother me at all…. In fact all I could think of is how much easier it would be to use the restroom as it does unzip quite high. Haha!

Size M runs a little too big for me on the waist (28”), so I returned it and bought a Size S instead. Fabric is of good thickness, not transparent at all.

The dress fit well of course I used shapewear but the material is thick enough not too show lines. Would be too thick for a summer event though as it keeps you quite toasty.

Perfect dress for events. So elegant yet very comfortable. I love the adjustable slit on the skirt... can be conservative or more risque, depending on the occasion.

Super elegant and comfortable. The zipper for the slit is genius. Fabric is. Ice, not flimsy and plenty of give.

The dress is as described and I got a XL because I'm usually but from it coming from China and those girls are skinner than we are here
