United States Championship: A Close Look at Mid-Atlantic Wrestling's Greatest Championship

I really love reading about the histories of the championship belts from wrestling. Dick Bourne has done such a fantastic job with each of his books on these belts and this one about the U.S. Championship is no different. The belts featured in this book were worn by the who's who of wrestling's history. Seeing some of my heroes from my childhood always brings a smile to my face as well.

I love the wrestling territories from the 1990s back and I'm always looking to learn more about this period .I grew up watching mid south in the 1970s and the early 1980s ,they didn't have internet or cable etc like they do today ,so it was hard to get info on the different territories etc.this book is amazing telling you all about this title belt ,but also it goes into held it and other interesting facts ,the who and how long the different wrestlers held .and that doesn't even start to tell you about all the amazing photos ,and very detailed photos of this belt itself .I thought as a wrestling fan of this time period and love reading about the belts I'd like this book ,but this book was much better then I ever thought it would be .if you like wrestling back in the day ,the artwork of the title belts and the history of held them etc .,then you need to get this book ,I can't say enough great things about .and the author always does a great job in his research and tell you about the subject at hand ,you can tell he's a fan to .

Love this book

I always enjoy learning about the history of wrestling, and this did a great job in helping me do that. This may seem small, but the only thing that I didn't care for was the whole name of the Championship not being started with a capital letter. (ex: United States heavyweight championship)....as I said, I know it probably seems small. Other than that, I really enjoyed it :)

Great book on the history of one of my favorite titles. The detailed photos and descriptions finally show what was a bit of sparkle on the tv screen when I was a kid. I find it fascinating.

Great read. If you love old school wrestling, this is a must buy.

The photos, belt history, and title holder history were spot on. I really enjoyed this book.

This is just a great book, exhaustively researched with many great photos from the classic Mid-Atlantic wrestling days. Dick Bourne does a great job tracing the history of the U.S. Title lineage as well as the history and variations of the belt itself. It reads like an extensive documentary, very professional with a ton of info and fabulous photos and design. If you are a fan of the Mid Atlantic gateway you already know how well that is presented and this book is an excellent companion.I would recommend this not only to fans that were around back then, but younger fans today who want to learn about the great wrestling that took place in the M-A region. This one goes up on my favorite shelf alongside a very short list of great wrestling books. Well Done !
