HALYARD Health 50602 Safeskin Nitrile-Xtra Exam Gloves, 12" Length, Medium, Purple (Pack of 50)

I don't use these gloves for medicinal or cooking reasons, I use them for beekeeping. Traditional beekeepers gloves out of leather are bulky and the leather reminds bees too much of an animal invading their hive. I'm not confident enough to go gloveless (yet) but I read that these gloves are a nice compromise. And they are. They are thin enough that you can feel the bees and there little vibrations that let you know when they start getting upset, or just feeling the bees in general. Leather gloves really don't let you know when you have a bee stuck between your fingers. These do. They don't easily tear and I can use the same pair multiple times. They are great when you are checking a hive other than your own so that you don't cross-contaminate hives and if and when the bees do get a little uppity and think about stinging, they generally go through a few moments of confusion of what to do since the gloves are rubber (haha).

I've purchased this and received exactly the item I expected.This is one of the highest grade Nitrile gloves Kimberly-Clark makes. It is thicker but flexible and very strong. (puncture and tear resistant) In fact, on Kimberly-Clark's website, it mentions this product is rated for Higher-Risk (medical) procedures. For that reason, it costs much more than most other gloves of this kind. This is not a cheap glove for casual uses.This particular item is medium sized and the overall length including cuff part is a bit longer at 12 inches. Normal gloves are usually around 9.5 inches. You also get FIFTY (50) single gloves, not the usual 100. So there are ONLY 25 pairs in the box. (they are all the same - no right or left hand gloves) You are paying a lot more per gloves. So make sure, you need this kind of quality gloves before purchasing.I am not a medical professional. I am going to use this product for tasks that strength is important and needed the extra sleeve coverage for my protection. For casual work, I have much cheaper but weaker gloves. Yes, I will be purchasing more.

The only reason I did not give these 5 stars was that I received the "Halyard" brand instead of Kimberly-Clark, and I thought I should have been informed of the substitution up front. They do seem to be of the same quality. They seem a little snug compared to the medium size Kimberly Clark short gloves, but they still fit. I would buy them again, either Halyard or Kimberly Clark.I use them for beekeeping. They are very sting-resistant and still allow the dexterity to pick up a queen bee without injury to her. The extra length gives me a little more protection around the wrists than the short version. I get more dexterity with these gloves than the vinyl dishwashing gloves I occasionally use. A pair will usually last several trips to the bee yard, although they are cheap enough that you could throw them away every time. Sometimes they do rip if you catch a nail or a splinter. Rarely a bee will sting through them.

I really like these gloves, they are very thick, I don't have to worry about them ripping or tearing. I need that extra length in the cuff as they are. I gave 4 stars only because the price is to high.Hope this helpsCheers

I mostly use these for hand-dishwashing. I have to be a bit careful not to let the dishes slip away, but these lasts very long time and makes those rubber dishwashing gloves(Korean) to shame. At fraction of the cost, 2-3 of these lasts as long as those. These are thin enough(but strong) to make my hand dextrous to handle detailed jobs.

Excellent gloves. I wanted some gloves that were thicker and with a longer cuff than the ones you find at regular stores like Home Depot or Target. These gloves are a thicker mil and they hold up to a lot of harsh chemicals with no breakage.There is no comparison to the cheap, thin gloves with short cuffs. The longer cuffs of these gloves will help prevent liquid from coming in. The cheap ones break all the time, as well.They do cost more, but are well worth it to protect your skin and hands.I got these medium sized gloves since the smalls were just a bit too tight for my hands. I am a female with medium sized hands and the mediums fit me better. My hand measures just shy of 7 inches long from the base of the palm to the tip of the longest finger (like 6 and 7/8ths inches). and 3 and 1/8th inches across the palm. Fingers about 3/4 inch thick at the base of the forefinger.

Out of several brands of gloves that I have bought, these are the only ones that are long enough to protect the hands from chemicals or water. The hands stay dry and the gloves are strong enough that they can be reused several times. So for that reason the price is not prohibitive. I use them mostly in the kitchen or when I am cleaning the house. Great for washing dishes because the hands stay dry. The are a bit snug. I ordered the Medium and they fit snuggly, but sometimes a snug fit is better than if they are too big, especially in the kitchen. I will probably continue to buy the Medium, though I would like to gat a sample of the large. :-) just to compare the fit. Highly recommend them.

Completely inaccurate description of the product. The glove that I received (blue) is nothing like what is being described in the product description and picture. They are short and cheap. Additionally, they don't even come in a box. Just a plastic bag. Returning. For this price I expected much better quality and to actually receive the product that I ordered.

Each pair of gloves will easily last for 4-5 days with normal usage. Value for money. It's 12 inch gloves that gives extra coverage to hand. Helps when we r using chemicals to wash vegetables or other things.

The product description says 50 gloves per box and 10 boxes per case = 500 gloves. We received a single box with 50 gloves for Rs 5342. When I tried to return it says this item is not eligible for return.
