Sturdy enough for 280 lb person
This can be stripped down to bare bones if needed and is easily maneuverable . The leg rest was not long enough for my husband in the elevated position which we were initially disappointed about. He is 6ft. We ended up removing the arms and leg pieces to make it easier for him to operate and also transfer to chair or knee scooter. It’s doing the job for us at a reasonable cost. He has a a non-weight bearing ankle fracture so he won’t be in it that long. Not sure of long term durability but it’s great for what we needed it for. It is heavy for me to lift but it needs to be heavy to support his weight

Overall, I'd buy it again.
I got this chair because as of recently I've had issues with the nerves in my back and legs. Because of this I've put on a bunch of weight, so I sit at 300 now and it still functions fine. It came in a timely manner and is light enough that I can lift it into the car myself if I have to.It does get stuck on small lips or bumps, but otherwise it was really useful. It made it so that I could go to disneyworld with my family without being in unbearable pain or faceplanting because my back decides to go out midway through a step.If you need it for every day use I'd honestly look for something which could deal with doorframes a bit better, but this chair isn't horrible for all the time use either. (I've had to use it since as well, it's very convenient.)

This is better than the 18"!
My mom is recently home from the hospital, she was ordered to get an 18" wheelchair, but the seat is too small. We went up one size. The maneuverability is pretty good on LVP, but on carpet it takes someone with brawn to move the wheelchair. The design is high quality and it's easy to fold up with the handles in the seat area. I love that its easy to handle. I'm curvy build and 6' tall. It's nice to find the tools I need to help my mom live better.

DURABLE
I have been amazed by how this wheelchair functions mobility, with ease. Helping my wife to her appointments, very convenient when putting it at thee back of her small SUV, Chevy At first did’t think much of it, till thee usages pushing, pulling, turning about. Wheels aren’t to bad, nice. Gotta know how to use it mechanically wise, going over cracks,…etc. will get another, if need to. Or recommend. +++++++

A Value
I been in wheelchair for over 5 years. I was sick of the heavy one dispensed by Medicare after 2nd spine surgery. Dont want to give up and depend on motorized one. Definitely got a lot of use on old one, but am alone now and the arms broke. It was time for a new one. I really wanted one of the lightweight, highly maneuverable, ones you see athletes, or distance competitors use. I couldn't find one anywhere locally. Not to mention I'm guessing they may be out of my price range. So looked on Amazon and found this. The price was ok since I kept my Medicare benefit for the nice one I want, if they ever pay, and/or I ever find one. It's 41 pounds with legs attached(31without), and love the fact there removable. However, the material they make wheels out of can be slippery, they need more rubber content. Additionally, the legs need both calf pads, and upward motion(besides swingaway), and brakes can pinch hands until your used to them.I have had air pad for years to help with seat comfort, and suggest they are better than gel, foam, or both combined. If anyone know place & price on Amazon I might find lightweight chair with the angled wheels I see athletes use, I would be grateful for the link.I am tired of being in bed or in heavy chair that acts as an anchor around my neck while lost at sea, metaphorically. I would like to be able to use chair for both mobility, and body conditioning. The old hospital models, and even this one, are too rickety and would shake to pieces before you made it a mile..Thanks

So far, so good
My husband was recently diagnosed with a severe medical condition that leaves him unable to do much physically. While he can still walk, he cannot walk more than about six feet at a time, so we needed a way to get him in and out of doctor's visits, stores, etc. We are hopeful we don't need a wheelchair long term, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on anything at this point. This wheelchair fits the bill perfectly. It's not as lightweight as I had hoped, but it's manageable. I can lift it into the back of our Tahoe unassisted, although weighing a few pounds less would make it much easier. I don't know how well this would fit in the cargo area of a smaller SUV. It takes up pretty much all the cargo space back there with the third row folded down, which is not a big issue for us, but just something to be aware of if your vehicle is smaller. My husband is 6'5" and the foot rests adjusted low enough for him, and the seat back is high enough that it's not uncomfortable for him to lean back on. It's comfortably wide enough for him as well, but I'm really glad I went with the 20" span or I think he would've been a bit cramped and he's not overweight or excessively large (besides height!). I did take the seat bottom apart and adjust the depth to its full extension first thing when we got it, which he needed to accommodate longer leg length. We don't ever really engage the lifting arms for exit, but it's a handy feature if the person is not as mobile or needs to keep their arm held out to the side or something, I guess. He said the seat itself is not terribly comfortable, but he doesn't normally sit in it long enough that it really bothers him. I would probably invest in one of the seat pillows for sale here if we were going to use it for long stretches of time. I know there is also a backpack/satchel for sale that we may buy, because it is hard to hold a purse and push the wheelchair without the bottom of my purse rubbing the back wheels. We have had zero issues with wheel wobbling or trouble rolling over asphalt. I haven't tried any off-road usage, but everywhere we've been in the two months we've had it, we've had no trouble. Carpets, pavement, linoleum, tile--all have been fine. Haven't noticed any squeaking or other structural deficiencies. All in all, we're pleased with our purchase and it meets our needs. I'd recommend for light to medium usage, but maybe if you need something everyday or for longer periods of time, purchase a heavier-duty model. I only gave it four stars because I thought it would be easier to fold and a bit lighter in weight, but that's not really a deterrent to purchase, just something to take note of if you are not a stronger or able-bodied person.

SUPER FAST GREAT QUALITY
my wheelchair broke beyond repair & I needed a good new one but cheap, Fast!the last wheelchair I bought was well over a thousand dollars, money I did not want to give up. But then I found you all with your wheelchairs & I saw the prices, I almost fell out of the regular chair I was sitting on because I could not believe how much the prices had dropped. Well needless to say I ordered the one I wanted from you & it showed up at my door as if by magic. I couldn't believe how quick it came. well heck it looks & feels better than my old one. I could not be more happier, Thank You so very very much.clyde

Good chair, could be better.
Bought for my mother to take along on trips and day-outs. It serves it’s purpose. The swinging out of the leg support makes it very easy to get in and out of the chair. The lifting up of the arm rests is very convenient to sit comfortabley at dining tables. The break mechanism is located at the wheel and is very hard to deploy or release. My mom can’t do it herself. No break or security machanism available to the caregiver who is pushing the chair. My mom has to hold on to the wheel-rail to keep the chair steady, so that I can let go of the chair safely and then I need to walk over to the front to apply the break. This is a major inconvenience and a vulnerability. I have to be very mindful of the leveling of the ground before I can let go of the chair. I wish the breaking and stability locking was available to use by both the user and the caregiver. We feel the need of a cup holder too. I bought a clip on.

Pas très sécuritaire
Il n y a pas de ceinture de sécurité pour circuler au transport adapté et pas de crochet dans le bas pour la faire tenir dans ce transport. Ne convient pas pour 260 lives.
