Strange smell... Maybe expired?
My original review of this product was my dogs loved it. Today I'm changing the review due to concerns from our recent purchase. We have been feeding the pups this propac food for maybe a year now. When my husband and I first opened this new bag of dog food, we both said "oh gosh, what is they smell??" It had a STRONG smell what I keep labeling plastic. I can't put my finger on it. I thought it was just us being weird. I proceeded to feed the dogs, they didn't eat. it's been a few days now, and it seems as if they just hate this food. They eat what they have to and are done, whereas they usually clean the bowl. I've tried it with coconut oil, their vitamin mix, and even cheese and they just will not eat it.I am not sure if the bag we received is expired or what, but it concerns me. I'd love it if the seller would email me.

Really? Quality Dog Food by Mail??
Never thought I'd take advantage of my Amazon Prime membership by having my dog's food delivered to my doorstep. What can I say? It sure works for me! The bag arrives on time and in great condition. Let me preface this review by saying that I have never worked for or been associated in any way with the manufacturer or the distributor of this product. I am simply a discerning but thrifty dog owner. OK, down to brass tacks...ProPac High Performance Dog Food is worth every penny down to the last piece of kibble. My Golden is nine and a half years old and has been allergic her entire life to ALL the non-allergenic premium dog foods out there...with the exception of Propac, which is entirely made, from start to finish, in the US (and was never part of the melamine-laced dog food scandal several years ago that prematurely ended many dogs lives). Propac doesn't contain any of those dubious-quality ingredients you always find on pet food labels that are lumped under the catch-all term: by-products. With Propac, what you see on the label is what you get. No substitutions. Period. Chicken meal and fat, ground corn, flax seed, beet pulp, yeast culture and vitamin/mineral supplements. The ONLY preservative is vitamin E. Since my pooch isn't a 'working dog', she eats a fraction of whats recommended on the label. One cup twice a day maintains her svelte 75 lb figure. This dog food is a rare find nowadays: a reliable, quality product with the right price for my wallet. The best part? My dog(and every other canine fussy-eater I know who's wisely made the switch)goes absolutely WILD for this dog food. That NEVER happened with other premium brands...and these dogs have tried every one! The folks at Wells obviously know what they're doing, because this stuff stays fresh and palatable, from the first bowl to the last from every 33 lb bag. EVERYONE who touches my Golden is blown away by her incredibly soft, gleaming coat. Several weeks after my friends switched their four-legged family members to Propac, they discovered their dog's coats were likewise transformed from dull and dry to soft, luxurious and gleaming as well. No more flaky doggy-dandruff either! This is not my first dog and she surely won't be my last. I am very pleased to have discovered Propac High Performance and I will always feed my future dogs this quality product.

Great price for superior forumla.....
I have tried several varieties of dog food. Most considered "super premium" types. What they don't tell you is the difference in the first ingredient. While having a meat, whether it be chicken or fish or duck or whatever, is the easiest way to separate good from great it doesn't always show which is the best. Pound for pound, you want as little grains as possible with the highest concentration of proteins for your active pet. This formula is great because the first ingredient is CHICKEN MEAL. Meal yields more protein then a first ingredient simply stated chicken. I used Iam's Mini chunks before but after a recommendation from a breeder, I use Pro Pac for both my extremely active dogs. They love it and I love the price. Not only that, I know I am giving my dogs the best dog food for their nutritional needs. On top of that....every 10th bag is free.

My dogs really seem to like it...
I used to give my dogs beneful but looked up the ingredients and seemed really low quality so I decided to change their food. I wanted to get them good food on a college student budget and I think I found it. I forgot to slowly introduce this food, so by the time I ran out of beneful they didn't want to go near the pro pac, but slowly they started eating it up, like you'd swear it was table scraps :3 And someone else mentioned something about gas, 2 of my dogs still have smelly farts sometimes that smell horribly but I'm only around them at night when we go to bed but regardless i don't think some people would like that too much lol. They did not however have loose stools, if anything their poop has gotten smaller and more solid. All in all I think this is a good dog food for the price, all 4 of my pups seem to like it, so I think I'll be buying them this food for a while :3

The only dog food my Yorkie will eat!
My Yorkie has eaten ProPac all of his almost ten years. He was born in Missouri and it was his breeder's food of choice. When I flew him to Florida and all of the food his breeder enclosed for his flight was depleted, I tried just about everything but he wouldn't eat it. I ended up having to call the breeder and he told me ProPac. I could only find it in feed stores but it was worth the travel because he loves it. I was happy to discover it on Amazon because it saves me travel and the carrier brings the 16 lb. bag to my door.
