Better performance at half the price!
Others indicated that this was the same as the Frankie Little Butler tank. Here’s photographic proof. What a savings! I only had to transfer over an additional pressure fitting at the top that reduced the fitting to use existing piping. Installation took all of five minutes once I figured out how to remove the existing pressure fittings (thank you YouTube). So far water is hotter and no sputtering (of course we’re replacing a seven+ year old unit). Highly recommended for price, convenience, and performance.

Confidently dependable
This is my third Waste-King Quick & Hot instant hot water device. The first one was purchased in April 2001; the 2nd in August 2011; and this 3rd one in April 2021. Hence, based on my experience, they have a dependable & useful performance life of approx.10 years. Which is fine with me. The device is relatively easy to install (though it would be helpful to have some basic hands-on plumbing experience) and which for me has performed reliably during the prior 10-year intervals. I recommend the purchase.

You need to buy a compression nut and 3/8" ferrel and reducer (I reused the reducer from my old tank
I swapped out a 6 year old unit that began leaking from the center pipe with this one. Overall, an easy swap EXCEPT they changed the center pipe that exits the tank. The old one (right photo) had a built in flange and nut that threaded onto a reducer. The new one (right photo) has just a straight pipe. The instructions say to use a clamp to install the water line. Really? The water line is a smaller diameter than the pipe exiting the tank, so that won't work. Plus, they do not include a clamp. I ended up buying a compression nut and a 3/8" ferrel and re-used the threaded adapter (the silver colored piece) to attach the water line. Why did they do that? I have no idea. Also, when I first tested it water was leaking from the compression nut. I had to reinstall it and make sure the ferrel was at the end of the pipe prior to threading the adapter to the nut. The first time I had installed it the ferrel had slide down too far down the pipe. This is why I HATE plumbing projects. I would have given this 5 stars but gave it 4 for this reason.

My cabinets are crying and so am I
I've only had it installed for 3 weeks and on several occasions I notices water spray on the interior of my cabinet door (NOT good for the wood!). I now have a new task to remember when I'm in the kitchen: Open the cabinet door to check if there is moisture. Plus, it's sputtered like a volcano into the sink and onto the counter. I turned the heat down about 1/3 to help reduce this from occurring, but now my water isn't hot enough. I bought this model because I could use the existing Kitchenaid external faucet that I had. (It looks like the same manufacturer made both.) Additional advice: never order anything too far ahead of installation: I realize now that my return window is closed-- in fact it was closed before it was installed.
