This is a generous-sized bag that is extremely versatile for draining numerous foods.
Works perfect for me draining kefir. Perfect size for my half-gallon batches and I can hook the closure to an upper rack in my fridge so it can drip freely. Much more efficient than trying to balance a ill-fitting sieve on top of a bowl.Cleans nicely - I weight it with a small ss wire cooling rack in the top rack of the dishwasher.I used it as a giant "tea bag" to make up a huge batch of tea - I use loose tea - and the tea stains washed out 100% with no need for bleach.I did the same to make "tomato water" - instead of using a jelly bag and again, no stains retained in the material. nThis is an extremely versatile kitchen tool.

Very versatile
This bag is perfect for what I bought it for! I started making yogurt in my InstantPot. I needed a reusable strainer and this was it! Instead of buying another bulky kitchen appliance or contraption, this bag is easily washed (even says dishwasher safe) and folds up and fits with my kitchen towels. I saw another reviewer say that using it for yogurt is a bit messy; they were right. I would give it a five star if it was slightly easier to clean out all the yogurt, but it is still pretty easy. It is thick enough material that I was able to scrape the inside out with a spatula and get most of the remaining yogurt out. I plan on using it to make cold brew coffee as well.

The Pro Soy & Nut Milk Bag is a really great product. Originally I was not sure how well it would work with the cottage cheese, but decided to give it a try. And I was sure happy that I did. From my perspective it has three big positives - one being the size and the other two are the material it's made of and its ease of cleaning. Since I make a large batch of the cottage cheese at once in a crock pot (I usually use a gallon of milk + the a large tub of yogurt) the large size of the bag allows me to dump the cottage cheese and whey from the crock pot through the narrower end without anyone helping - the opening of the bag is large enough to fit the narrow end of the ceramic crock pot insert and catch the pouring out mixture. Another big positive feature from my perspective is that this bag drains the liquid from the curds really well. Because of the material it's made of (some kind of synthetics), it does not absorb liquid very well, while allowing it to drain freely. The cotton cheesecloth would soak up the liquid as the curds set in the cloth making the curds more wet, than they should be. And sometimes at the end of the day I would have to sort of "ring out" the cottage cheese to get rid of excess liquid that was stuck in the cloth. With this bag I don't have this problem at all. The material that the bag is made from is really easy to clean and it does not seem to have curds sticking in it, which is great. Whatever threads this bag is made of are really small and placed together so close, that none of the curds get stuck inside the fabric, but well enough apart to let the watery whey through without any problems. Up till now I was using cheese cloth, but the cleaning of it was such a pain. I'd wash it in the washing machine after each use, but sometimes the little pieces of curds would get stuck or ingrained between the fibers and would not wash out and if you'd make another batch of cottage cheese, towards the end of the day when whey was drained, you'd notice some staining on the cloth where these older pieced were stuck. With this bag, so far I have had no problems of this sort. The bag washes out of any residue left on the surface of the bag without any effort. I don't even have to run the bag through the clothes washer, I just wash it in the kitchen sink and let it dry out on the dish drying rack (and by the way it dries supper quick too). So, all in all this is a definite winner in my household, and once you add the excellent price - no better bag can be found for making cottage cheese!

Perfect for cheese making
I didn't use this as a strainer for making soy milk, etc. I make labneh cheese which is a strained, FF yogurt cheese. I dump a couple of large containers in this bag (I prefer seam out) and hang overnight to drain. The whey drains really well and when ready for the cheese I just dump and it comes out clean every time. After turning right side out the tiny bits of cheese come right off in a pan of soapy dish soap. I honestly could make probably four lbs of cheese at a time if I chose as this bag is pretty big. I just ordinarily make two. Would buy again if needed.

You are better off just using cheese cloth and a sifter
I was really excited to get this for straining yogurt, but unfortunately it just doesn't work as well as I had hoped. It is awkward to get the strained yogurt out of and wastes a lot of your hard earned yogurt! You are better off just using cheese cloth and a sifter. Less wasted yogurt and less heartache over clean up.

It's a little stiff. I'm used to a more flexible bag that drapes more easily over a jug for straining.

Difficult to fill and empty
Purchased the item after reading methods to drain whey when making Greek Yogurt. Biggest complaint centered on the difficulty with using cheesecloth. So I was pleased to find this item only to be disappointed. Opening is small and you lose a lot of yogurt removing it from bag. I had some leftover shear curtain material so I tried it. Worked wonders. Much easier than either this item or cheesecloth and got every single gram of yogurt. Easy to clean and can be reused over and over again.

Use with Kombucha
I bought ughtnthis as a strainer for my Kombucha. I strain from my gallon jar into a bowl with a coarse grain kitchen strainer, then put this back inside the rinsed 1 gallon jar with the top folded over the rim and pour it back through. Perfect and easy. I do a third and final straining before bottling with cotton tea bags, but having this intermediate step is very important as Otherwise the tea bags would clog too quickly.
