Storm tested.
I have been very happy with this. I bought it in July 2023 and now writing this review in April 2025. This is very strong! as I have mine installed on my deck that is very windy with 39" tv on it. Now upgrading to a 43" tv. The tv is taken down during the winter. This has experienced 3 major wind storms and the tv didnt fall down or bend! All these storms had 50 to 70 mph winds for 30 minutes or better. One storm had 84 mph winds per my weather station. The 39" tv was an older one from 2010 when they were a lot heavier than they are now. The deck does have a covered (solid) roof that does help protect it but I have had wind blow rain hit the tv.

Inexpensive
Includes plenty of screws and spacers. You should be able to get the VESA bracket mounted to the TV with what's there.I have no doubt it'll support the claimed weight, but it doesn't do it well. The TV I mounted on it is around 25 pounds. I weighed it before I ordered this. The issue is the plastic wheel used to tighten the tilt bracket on the back of the TV. I had to use a pair of pliers to get it tight enough to almost hold, and then I put a safety bolt behind that to make sure it stays. I've included a photo of that. The pole can either swivel 360º or tilt up to 90º. It won't do both. There are two different ways to mount it. They don't work together. I used the swivel mount. It not only swivels 360º, but it also swings a bit. It wouldn't work well with a breeze. The TV must be exactly balanced left to right or it'll tilt to the side a bit. Mine didn't. Your mileage may vary. Stick on wheel balance weights should be enough to get it perfect if it doesn't balance.Per the instructions, get a helper. Attach the top pole to ceiling/wall as shown. Personally, I don't trust any anchors to deal with this much weight on drywall. Those included with this mount are no exception. Much better to screw it directly to a ceiling joist, beam, or stud with at least two of the included screws. I only used two screws to attach it to a beam, and they're screwed into wood their entire length. My TV is only 25 pounds, and there's no lazy way for me to use more than two. I wouldn't trust that with more weight. I've included a photo of that also.Contrary to the instructions, mount the bottom pole and bracket to the TV before hanging the TV. That only leaves one bolt to put through one hole to attach the bottom pole to the top pole. Otherwise, your helper will have to balance the TV while putting four screws through the VESA mount, and tightening at least two. Make sure your helper can hold the TV high enough for long enough to accomplish this. My helper was a nylon strap.I didn't find a lot of options for where and how I wanted to mount this TV at anywhere near this price. I'm satisfied with it. I took off one star for the plastic thumbwheel on the tilt bracket. A bolt with a nut would be much better. I may remove that wheel and put a nut there eventually, but it seems to be holding after using pliers and adding another bolt. The 360º swivel lets me turn it sideways when I'm not using it so that it's somewhat out of the way. Most importantly, put some planning into where you will use this, and what screen you'll use it with. It almost worked as expected. It works fine after adding that extra bolt. It would work better with a nut with a nylon insert instead of a thumbwheel.

Inexpensive mount with free and fixed options
These are able to be used with a fixed connection to the top plate, or what is a basically a hanging arrangement. I'm using them with the hanging arrangement so they're easier to get behind, because I have some storage behind where the mounts are and I can just push the tv out of the way enough to get to it. The hanging arrangement is a bit strange at first, depending on how you mount the tv realize the pole won't hang straight down. Use the fixed hardware if you need that. It also takes some tinkering positioning the TV rails on the pole's mount to get it to hang straight, and I added some hardware to lock it more securely in that position.I have a few of these holding 55" sets up, including some heavier old oleds and they seem solid enough for that, but my .02 that's about the limit. I would not be comfortable with them for an old tank 55" plasma or modern 65", but that's just me. The heaviest 55" I have is around 45lbs and I wouldn't recommend using these for anything much above that, but that's just me.My only real complaint is the tilt arrangement won't hold with a 55" tv, it's too heavy and it just slips no matter what you do. If you want the sets at the max tilt down it's no issue, but if you want them held vertical it's a problem, and you'll need to rig up another bolt and nut to clamp things down enough. This is another reason I say 55" is the top end of what I'd recommend. All in all I'm still giving them 5 stars because the price is very low, and they're working well for me. I just think the 65" recommendation is a bit much. I'd stay under 50lbs.

Not the best but ok. Do not buy for the swivel feature.
The mount is ok. I purchased because I wanted the ability to swivel the TV for different viewing angles from my pool bar. When using it that way, the mount is way to loose. In a storm I could see this thing breaking as it waves back and forth. I decided to keep the mount and use the fixed mounting method which will work, but not as I intended. I would not purchase this again in the future but for the most part, it is well made.

Worst Amazon product I have ever Purchased. Don't buy this!!
The mount looked like it had potential, angles, swivels etc. But alas it was a big disappointment .Problem One, the instructions. Very poor translation and illustrations. Seriously lacking.Problem two is that if you want to hang the pipe so it swivels according to the instructions your monitor will not hang straight. I tried it.If you want to hang your monitor so you can adjust the angles with the bracket you better have it pointed exactly where you want it. You have no left or right adjustment once you bolt the pipe bracket to the ceiling base using two bolts. To rescue the situation I machined a 1.25" hole through the adjustment bracket and used machine spacers to take up the gap between the ceiling mount and bracket. I then dropped the pipe through the ceiling bracket and adjusting bracket and then hung the monitor. In summary, a minor project turned into a 4 hour affair. Do yourself a favor and find another mount and avoid the frustration of this one!!
