I was looking for a new kind of measuring cup beyond Pyrex because all of the measuring marks on my Pyrex cups have faded. This cup is exactly like the description. Lightweight but sturdy. The weight has gotten a lot of comments - I personally really like the lighter weight and style of handle. Dishwasher safe and marking have stayed on so far - we'll see how long those last. I'm very happy with this product.

I usually drink 2 cups of coffee in the AM, but could never find a mug big enough to accommodate 2 cups, so I always had to brew two separate cups. I don't use an electric coffee maker anymore because of possible exposure to toxic metal & plastic/rubber materials used in the coffee maker. Instead, I use a simple "clean" and non-toxic Hario ceramic coffee dripper (Japanese made) along with natural (brown) paper filters. With this mug I now only have to boil water and brew once. This "measuring cup" is also of a much cleaner borosilicate glass. The pour lip works perfect and does not overflow like most measuring cups. I've tested with repeated use now and this cup stands up to warming on a somewhat hot coffee mug warmer and has not failed. Regardless of whether you use it solely for its intended use as a measuring cup, it certainly does work super for a big huge Cup O' Joe in the morning...!

I've mentioned in other reviews that I am replacing kitchen items with lighter weight ones due to arthritis in my hands. These borosilicate measuring cups are so lightweight that they weigh half of what my former Pyrex ones did. The shape is unique too. And the spout is perfect for pouring. No longer do I have liquids spilling out all over the place. Measurements are easy to read.

We needed a small measuring pitcher for our one-cup coffee maker and this one fit it perfectly. And, it appears to be solid. Great buy!

I got tired of the Pyrex cup's markings prematurely wearing out, so I decided to try something different, but didn't want a plastic option. So far good. However, there are a couple concerns that keep this away from a 5 star rating. First, the lack of third measurements is just lazy design. The glass is a bit thinner than most measuring cups I've had, so there is some concern on long term durability in the kitchen.

There are a few different listings for these and I painstakingly combed through every one to find the one that looked the best and had the least likelihood of breaking. These are fantastic and I would love to buy more if they weren't so demonically expensive. I use them for everything and I really like that they are large so I don't have to refill them as often when using them for water.I'm quite rough on my things and these have survived two transcontinental moves, years of handwashing and now years of being shoved into the dishwasher on extremely hot sanitise mode. I've also put these on the stove directly a few times to heat liquids, but that's a surefire way to getting bonked by the thermal shock fairy so I wouldn't recommend it.The markings have faded after 2 years, but I don't usually use these for measurement so it's not an issue for me personally.

UPDATE; When this company found out my measuring cup broke, the offered to replace it or give me a refund. What a great company that stands behind their products.I’m not a chemist. I don’t know what kind of glass it really is. However, in 50 years of cooking, I’ve never seen a measuring cup break. This one shattered into a million pieces. I thought it looked really thin when I got it, but figured it would be strong. Nope! It is as fragile as it looks.

I was excited to get this for mixing 2-3 cocktails at a time. It’s nice but delicate….it’s double walled so thin glass. And it won’t hold up to muddling….. I enjoyed it for the first 2 mins though.
