This summer’s project was the construction of a HUGH deck in our back yard. These connectors made the job so, very much, easier. They are invisible, kept me from having to drill hundreds of holes and install (via screw) in a matter of seconds.WIthout these connectors you would have to drill a hole for each Baluster (picket) which, over time, would cause a chemical reaction between the treated lumber and the aluminum Balusters. The end result would cause “pitting” of the aluminum. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that over the years.

The company has a different version of these that is much more appealing, in my opinion. The balusters fit over these and the joint between the baluster and connector is visible; this can look ratty. With the other style, the baluster slides into a pocket on the connector, hiding the joint and giving a much more finished look.

Worked great. The builder liked to use them.
