Having used this now for a solid 6 months I can recommend it, it's very sturdy, has a slight springy element to it, so when your do decides it time to chase the neighbours cat, pigeon or just decides it's had enough of the world and trys to throw itself under a car, when you yank back on it, it cushions the force so as to not hurt the dog I guess, good heavy materials however it does feel like it has loose plastic threads up and down the lead, no fear of it breaking and the plastic bits are solid even after a good chew from an exited dog
