Super for building self confidence!
This colourful picture book is cheerful from cover to cover! Told in delicious bouncy rhyme, and accompanied by vivid illustrations, this is the story of how a young footballer finds her feet and learns to believe in her own unique spin on the game— quite literally! There is so much to love about this story, with its gentle focus on being your own unique self rather than trying to be like everyone else, making it great addition to any child’s bookcase.

An empowering story for all children
This story is perfect for helping children believe in themselves and in their own unique talents. When Sammy is picked for the new under 8s team, she struggles to shoot a goal like the other team members. But when match day comes and the coach asks her to play, she soon realises that it is her own way of playing that helps the team to win, not trying to play like the others. Empowering, inspiring and with a message about not giving up, this book is perfect for all young footballers, no all young people learning something new! Catherine’s rhyme is so easy to read aloud and Joe’s illustrations are bright and full of energy. A great read.

Football can be for girls too
Great story to tackle gender biases (football is for everyone, not only for boys!), and great read at the time of the Women's Football World Cup.
