Huge variation in appearance
This is a review of "ECO Leaf 25 Disposable Palm Leaf Plates | 8”(20cm) Square Compostable Dinner Plates | Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable Heavy-Duty Plate for Wedding, Party and Picnic | Microwave & Oven Safe, Pack of 25".These arrived in see-through cellophane wrapping.The first thing that struck me was the huge variation in appearance (and texture) of these dishes - see my image.Interesting that the top dish was totally plain - just like the main illustration on the site. I suspect they are worried that the 'non-standard' appearance of some might be off-putting. It is a bit jarring at first but then again these are natural products. As well as the variation in appearance, some have very rough and uneven surfaces.I think these could work well for dry party food at a gathering, either to pass around or use as individual plates. The fact that they are totally natural and compostable is great. They are sturdier than paper plates and a heck of a lot more environmentally friendly than polystyrene or plastic offerings.Just don't expect them all to have a standard appearance.
