Nice brush at a nice price!
I used the Katoggy self-cleaning brush on a shedding long-haired cat and really appreciated the self-cleaning feature. One press of a button, and most of the hair popped right out of the bristles. There was some hair that clung to the plastic handle due to static electricity, but it was easy to wipe off at the end of the groom. The cat seemed to enjoy the feel of the tipped wire bristles. I like that the brush is easy to find with its bright orange and yellow design and that it's also very simple to use.

It works fine as a slicker brush
This review is for the Katoggy Steam Cat Brush, Self Cleaning Dog Steam Grooming Brush, Easy To Clean, Remove Static Flying Hair Spray Grooming Brush for Cats and Dogs.I got the white rectangle steam slicker brush. So being a certified groomer and having fur babies, horses, cows, goats... all of my life, I feel very experienced in speaking about the quality of grooming equipment. I'm used to using standard slicker type brushes with the metal teeth, I do not generally like the little plastic/rubber balls on the end of the bristles as it makes the brush less effective at getting down through the hair, to the skin to remove the dead hair/tangles. Now you do need to be a bit more careful to not use that type of brush to harshly as you do not want to irritate the skin. But honestly it's hard to beat them as far as how well they perform their intended purposes. If it's an animal that has fur/hair and I've owned it, I've used a slicker brush on it! And the animals love it too!My rotts compete to be the next one to be groomed, they jump right up on a grooming stand/table to be the next one getting brushed! If you know anything about rotts then you know how thick their coats are and that they blow them twice a year with the changing seasons. We are talking lots and lots of hair! LOL It means a ton of brushing/grooming and frequent vacuuming if you want to keep your carpets clean LOL.I've never noticed having an issue with static build up with the dogs coats and their hair is not the type it flies up into the air, but cat hair is different. So I can see this steam brush being more of an asset with cats, and there are plenty of dog breeds that have the fluffy undercoats it would be great for too.But I'm going to be honest here, I just do not see the steam function as a must have personally. The brush does not hold much in it's reservoir, so you will be refilling it often if you need that function. The brush still has some positives to it. It's light weight and easy to use, it's a smaller head than any of my other slicker brushes so will be able to get into smaller areas on your pet like between their legs...if your worried about hurting your pet with a metal/wire tooth slicker this has the little plastic balls on the ends of the bristles to protect their skin from irritation, the push button cleaning feature is nice instead of having to remove a matt of hair from the brush with your fingers or a comb...When I put this VS the regular price $19.99 per the listing I must say it's high, even with it being on sale right now for $16.19 it doesn't change my mind for very sound reasons.First of all I still have the same slicker brush I used as a kid to comb out my horses/ponies manes and tails! It has a thick wooden base/handle that is reinforced with metal, the bare metal/wire bristles are imbedded in a thick flexible rubber base on the brush head. You can buy almost the exact same brush I have at any number of discount stores for $1.00 - $5.00! I have sent countless grooming clients to those stores to get one so they can keep their dog/cat properly brushed out/detangled at home between grooming sessions. So in the end it's up to you which is the best grooming tool for your particular applications. As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. I hope this helps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

Cleans Quickly
I notice there is a Katoggy Steam Cat Brush shown and that is not the brush I am reviewing. I am reviewing the Katoggy self-cleaning slicker brush.I have to bribe my cat with a treat to get her to let me comb or brush her. She just hates every one of the brushes or combs I have tried and will only tolerate being brushed a very short time. I thought maybe she would like this 244-rubber tipped massage brush. Massages are good so she should like that right? I very gently brushed her and saw the brush fill up with her hair. I love the one button feature that drops the needle head brush down, so the cat hair comes right off. I didn't have to stop to remove the head, empty it and then put the head back on while in the meantime my cat would disappear. This was so much easier, faster and cleaner because the hair came off the brush in a clump and didn't fly all over. I was able to get her brushed before she had her usual fit. No she doesn't like this brush any better than the others, but I do. This brush is easier to clean, no more poked fingers from the needles. I recommend this brush.

Works good to brush the cats, but it doesn't hold the fur
This brush was ordered on February 6th and just arrived on February 27th.I brushed one cat and it barely got any fur out, but when I brushed his brother, we got a lot of fur out, which was great. However, the button to "clean" the brush is a little rough to push and as soon as I pressed the button, we had an explosion of fur come flying off. The brush will do to get the excess fur collected off the cats and get the knots worked out. I will just have to remember to release the fur while the brush is inside a bag to keep the flying fur balls to a minimum. The Amazon box this brush came in, had warnings of containing a lithium battery. I am hoping that was a mix up because I don't see any information stating this brush needs/uses batteries. Funnily enough, I know the review I am writing is for a yellow and orange cat brush with a button on the back to clean/release the fur. However, when I click on the link from my order page, it comes up with another kind of brush that looks like it sprays water.

Well Tolerated
We have 5 cats and grooming is a constant battle. 3 of the cats are Maine Coons, and their fur is very thick and hard to keep tangle free. Finding a brush the cats will tolerate is a long-standing battle, but they all seem to be okay with this brush. We've been able to really get down into the fur and pull out some of the undercoat with this brush, and the cats have tolerated it well. This is easy to clean the hair out of, and we just leave it on our picture window so we can catch the cats as they are sunning.

Great so far!
I love this brush almost as much as my cat does! I have tried other brushes on my cats, but they never really seemed to enjoy being brushed near as much as when I use this brush. Since they are long haired cats it is important to get deep down inside their fur and this brush can accomplish that. Of course, when getting deep down there is a lot of fur removed, but removing the fur from the brush could not be easier by just pushing the button and the fur comes to the top of the brush and you just peel it off. My cats love this brush, and I would recommend this to any pet owner.

Useless
Doesn’t work as advertised, I’ve bought cheaper brushes that work better . “Steam” is freezing and my cat hates it

Thorough cat grooming brush
This cat grooming brush provides an easy and in-depth way to groom my cat without complaints. I've used various other cat brushes and most often found them too small for my big fat British shorthair who come summer, sheds enormously. This cat brush, in contrast, adopts a large surface area design that allows for some serious cat brushing. I love the way the bristles are long and rounded which allows for deep brushing. I was able to comb across my cat, all through her tangles and knots and achieve the smoothest fur in a long time.Best of all, the brush for the price does not miss out on the easy-to-clean, press-and-remove mechanism and even a mister! For the sake of my shedding cat, I noticed the brush did a superb job catching all the loose fur. Once it had coalesced, I was removed by a simple press of the button! The base essentially pushes out against the ends of the bristle, removing all the caught fur into a bundle. These bundles of hair can then be pulled out to throw away at an instant. In regards to the mister, however, it was more of an extra than a necessary feature. I noticed my cat's fur did look shinier with the water sprayed on top. But when it comes to washing, this would only serve as a surface wash which is fine for most if you just want an extra sense of cleanliness to your cat. On the other hand, this could work better with some cat deodoriser or something of a cat-friendly fragrance that would really bring out a clean finishing love to your cat!In all, this is a cat brush that has already replaced my many other combs that simply do not cover the size of a growing cat. This large surface area comb provides an easy and thorough means to comb my cat's entire body, without tangles or force.

A pet brush with integrated water sprayer
A brush that's fine for cats and dogs. It is rechargeable and has a chamber to put water in. Once it's filled you just switch it on and as you brush your pet, the flyaway hairs are dampened down with the fine mist spray from the brush.Everything is included down to the cable. My dogs didn't mind this but I could see a cat having a problem maybe.Everything works fine and it does the job. Not too bad overall for the price.

Great for grooming
One of the most impressive features of this brush is its ability to remove static hair and flyaways with ease. As someone who has struggled with this issue in the past, I was pleasantly surprised by how effective this brush is in taming my pet's unruly hair. Not only does it leave their coat looking smooth and shiny, but it also helps to reduce the amount of shedding, which is a huge plus. The self-cleaning feature of this brush is also a game-changer. With just one press of a button, the bristles retract and the hair is easily wiped away, making the cleaning process a breeze. This not only saves me time but also ensures that the brush is always hygienic and ready to use.I have also noticed that my pets seem to enjoy the experience of being groomed with this brush. The gentle steam and massage-like bristles make them feel relaxed and at ease, which is a huge relief for me as a pet owner.

Brush part is excellent
The brush part is excellent, really like the easy hair removal button and this is a better size for our collie than my previous one. Not sold on the steam option, it goes really fast and I need to stop and top the water up - which means I loose the dog. I can’t see much difference in hair collection or hair flying away. Haven’t been able to completely dry the water reservoir after use either, shaken it and left stopper off but potential to harbour germs. The stopper is very small and fiddly for my fingers to get on and off, have left it off to dry and need to put it somewhere I won’t loose it and it won’t get eaten by any animal. Over all - great brush, steam option is an unnecessary complication.
