Cavaliere 30" Inch Range Hood Brushed Stainless Steel Wall Mounted Kitchen Vent Hood 462 CFM

I purchased this range hood from Decorative Kitchen and Bath about two weeks ago, their customer service was excellent and they shipped the hood so quickly that I received it ahead of the scheduled delivery date. This is my third Cavaliere range hood; I have installed one in every home (see picture of this model just installed) I have bought in the past few years and they all have performed admirably. This model is more quiet than the older SV218B2-30, but the quality and performance is as good. The controls are very sensitive so basically you just need to barely place your finger tip on the button to get the desired effect. Cavaliere products are a fine piece of craftsmanship and at this price, you won't get a better deal any place else. I wouldn't buy any other brand. UPDATE: 15 March 2020. Just ran into a problem with the range. The "ON" button when touched sets the range into the 60 second timer mode, turning itself off after that time and creating the inconvenience of having to turn it ON again and again. Contacted the company and was told that the warranty was only 12 months although I am pretty sure it was 3 or 5 years when I bought it. I was offered a part for $15. I believe I shouldn't be charged for it since I am doing the labor. Definitely it is very important to know and pay attention not only to the price when you buy a product but the quality of the after sales support and warranty.

Easy to install. The first unit I received appeared to be faulty. It was extremely noisy and vibrated when first turned on. The seller contacted me within minutes after I went on line to arrange with Amazon to return it. They sent links for videos to trouble shoot and were very helpful and supportive. They sent a new unit immediately with no questions asked. My only complaint is that it is a bit noisier even on lower speeds than I had expected, but I have not set off the smoke alarm once since I have had it!! I would recommend this unit especially if you have to have rear venting.

Where to start? Product arrived fine... no dings, no scratches. Fan installs quite easily... no complaint there. Price is ok... so there's another "positive".The problems? Razor sharp edges!!!! While I appreciated the protective film that covered most of vent unit, it is ridiculously sticky! It took more time then I would consider acceptable to remove... but worst of all... you have to fight this stuff so much that I cut my hands on the sharp, unrefined edges of this product. Bled all over it.The bottom line: Its up now and looks ok, but I'll probably pull it down and will return it. Can't imagine the touch button controls will last, considering the corners the manufacturer cut on the fit and finish. I'm a contractor and would never recommend this product.

I just couldn't believe the price differences on Range Hoods but this was exactly what I wanted. It was totally in my price range. I love how bright the lights are underneath and how quiet the fan is when needed. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought my 1st hood fan from Home Depot and when unboxing looks like it was put together by three year olds. Can’t remember the brand but I took it back. Of course this delayed the process in building a house. Ordered this from Amazon and was assembled correctly and installed within hours ( I’m not a pro so probably took me longer than a contractor). Vent looks great and works very well so far. Happy with the purchase

The sleek design of this rangehood modernized our kitchen. We love the adjustable settings and the fan prevents our smoke detector from going off when we cook!

Purchase several units and needed to return 2 so far, electrical issues. They look good when install. I did not notice a major increase in suction power when increasing fan speed. Also the price jumped 20 percent in a week, when we needed to purchase additional units.When the price when up on Amazon, we did what a lot of people do, and search the unit on the web. We found several websites that had better prices. Several of the websites we found were RIPOFF websites design to have this unit, but instead take your CC. If you do purchase, only use Amazon.

A great looking hood. Had a guy install it for me (had to move the vent over) so can't speak to the ease of install but he didn't seem to have any issues. It gets fingerprints easily, like most stainless items but wipes clean easily as well. The speeds are sort of a joke. There's not much difference between them and all are rather loud. Wish the lights were LED instead of halogen but they're a nice color temperature and are spaced nicely under the hood. I will mention that we had our handyman custom cut the wall apron because we have low ceilings. Otherwise, I love the look and would buy again.
