I am satisfied with this purchase because it was so inexpensive and it does help keep the birdbath water from being a mosquito breeding ground . The movement to the water reduces slimy buildup too. However it only works when there is direct sun on it....which I guess is logical since it’s solar powered. It doesn’t store any power which means it doesn’t work when a cloud passes, on cloudy days, etc. On the whole though, given the low price I’m very satisfied with the purchase.

It's a little underpowered, but I only wanted a small solar aerator for my goldfish pond. Tends to submerge an edge below water as it sprays, so it powers itself round the pond slowly till it ends up in shade, or stuck on tubing/ electric cords for my filters. Would be good in a small water feature such as a barrel. Needs full sun.

I wanted a fountain to keep the water circulating in my birdbath and I purchased this on a whim. For less than $15 I figured it wouldn’t be great but I didn’t have much to loose. It started working as soon as I got it together and went outside in the sun. It floats around, so it doesn't stay in one spot in my pond, though my fish seem to love it. Also, it only works with the sun out, once the sun goes down, it don't work. So the solar part only works with the power of the sun. Again, does not run when the sun is down.

I love solar gadgetry and wish it worked more effectively in the pond...but it does work in the pool and my grandchildren are fond of seeing it work when the sun shines directly on it.

I bought this to put in my birdbath and it wasn't quite what I expected. It was relatively easy to put together, and it arrived on time, and the price was great. The solar power worked great for about 2 weeks and then it just died. I took it out, looked it over, and I'm stumped. So it worked nice for a couple weeks. Bummer.

Birds love it. Pump is noisy, and water level needs constant refilling.Must be in full sun all day for a fountain effect.

Only lasted a short while. Wouldn’t stay suctioned to the bottom of the bird bath.
