Topenca Supplies 1/2 Inches x 50 Yards Double Face Solid Grosgrain Ribbon Roll, Gold

I needed this ribbon in a hurry, and was so pleased to find it available through Prime and at a great price for 50 yards. However, as they say, you get what you pay for. It is not a sturdy grosgrain, but is made from thin satin. I did not want satin as it has a sheen, but I used it anyway. I had to sew it onto my project by hand because I could tell it would be too delicate for machine stitching. Even while hand stitching I had to be careful not to pull too tightly or the material would have visible pull holes.

LOVE the fact they have so many color choices. Wish there was black available. Got what I needed. Sewing masks with our community group for the CV-19 issue. When we couldn't get elastic, 1/4 inch ribbon works even better. Thank you for the super fast shipping as well through Amazon. You are a blessing during these trying times. THANK YOU. I purchased this item to make ribbon leis. I purchased 6 rolls, thinking that would fulfill the amount that I needed. However, after the third roll, I was trying to figure out why I was short every time! The leis I make were 5 yards each, these rolls were 50 yards... I should have been able to make ten 5-yard segments, however I came up short everytime! I finally measured one roll before I cut it. It was 48 feet! This is extremely unacceptable, especially considering this is marked as "Amazon's Choice"! The last few issues that made me even more upset was that the material was inconsistent; sometimes it was sturdy but most times it was flimsy. Lastly, on one of the rolls it literally was double stick taped together in the middle to make 50 yards! Considering I could not use that part this was majorly unacceptable! If I paid for 50 yards of Grosgrain ribbon, I want all 50 yards and I want it to be sturdy!

This ribbon is so lightweight and slick that it might as well be satin ribbon. I bought it to use for face mask ties, and at the time I ordered it was the *only* white grosgrain I could find that I could receive in less than a couple of months ("only" four weeks wait, sigh). I use a continuous loop construction: loop over the neck, then up through the sides of the mask (casing built in there), finally secured behind the head with a cord stop. (GREAT design, by the way, so quick and easy and immediately customizable to the user.) It's a good thing I give these masks away because I'd never be comfortable selling any mask that had this inferior product installed. It does work, at least initially. But I have made one for myself that uses this ribbon, and it wears out. The grip of the cord stop gets less and less secure. I'm going to have to replace the ribbon in my own mask.If you can find something better it'll be worth any necessary wait, I promise. I'd only purchase this if there's a total time crunch.

Arrived very timely but...Ribbon has grease on it. Used some before I realized; had a deadline sewing masks to donate for medical providers but much of the roll is not usable. Also poor quality; edges uneven. Very cheap. Returning. Not sure whose fault it is so not tearing down the seller but this certainly can't be used on medical masks and it doesn't wash out; I tried on a piece.

I just love using fabric ribbons: what I hope is a Martha Stewart look without Martha's budget. This white ribbon has a "striped" matte finish, and will be quite elegant on my packages for all occasions for many years to come, and a great value from Amazon.

I used this ribbon to sew onto all of my outdoor pillows. I heat sealed the ends and can now attach all my pillows to the chairs/couches! No more hunting down muddy pillows every storm/windy day!

Ordered this ribbon for cheer poms in gold and purple. The purple one came in 2 days, as did the gold. The purple one was brand new and perfect. However, when the gold one came it looked as though it had been used already and really dirty. I ended up cutting off the entire outer portion before I used it. It’s strange how 2 colors from the same company were so different. Overall, really great for vinyl and worked well. Just very strange for it to arrive so tattered.
