Great 8" tablet for reading and video
Perfect size for me. I can hold it comfortably in one hand with a reasonable grip. It's about the same weight as my old Fire HD 7 from 2014. So not really heavy but not lite like an iPad mini. Performance is good. It's opens apps and does what I need without noticeable lag. Screen is lovely really sharp, bright and colourful. It's an improvement on the Fire HD8.I wanted to be able to read PDFs and Zinio magazines as well as Amazon Newstand magazines on a small tablet. The resolution makes the text very sharp and ok to read though it is quite small text. Only criticism of the screen is that it's bright even at the lowest setting... Too bright to use in a dark room at night, movies may be ok but for reading it's just too bright. Great to read on during the day though. It's more tiring on eyes than a kindle paperwhite.Sound on headphones seems fine, no static. The speakers are on the same edge and are ok for a cheap tablet. Not as nice as the ones on my old Fire HD7 but adequate. Listening to music in background they are fine a little more depth and base would have been nice though. Volume is good. Their location means that when way watching a movie the sound is all produced on one side so doesn't have a stereo effect. There is a screen protector already on it and only the top piece of plastic is supposed to come off... However on mine (and I was really careful) both layers of the screen protector came off... So now I need to buy another. All in all a really nice tablet especially given it was on a lightening deal at the time of purchase. I had considered the Teclast M89 as it's higher resolution and same dimensions and size as iPad mini or the Teclast Master T8 they give a little more screen width so would be better for digital magazine but for a higher cost. Chuwi Hi9 Pro/Black was also considered. Think I made a good choice here though. Good balance of price, quality and usefulness.

Good product
This is a good product. Shame it doesn't come with a screen protector as the other brands.

No hanging apps so far
So far. Lovely. I had a Nvidia k1. Same size as this. Same android 7. This ,albeit new, just feels better. Fast. And like what others have said. No bloatware. Feels good. Goodbye constant hanging updates which is what what was happening with the K1. Screen is crisp
