Perfect addition to my new deck
Mid way through building our deck, we switched gears and decided to go with a horizontal wire railing. Since I had already installed all of the posts that I planned on installing, I needed to bridge the gap with something attractive and that helped keep the wires properly spaced. I found these and decided to give them a shot. So far, I'm very pleased with the look and fit. I chose to use the plastic grommet on the bottom and drilled a hole in the top to attach it to the railing support with a black aluminum screw that I picked up at Lowes. I love the look of these, and they appear to be sturdy enough to do the job. Also, I ended up using 3/16 wire and these worked perfectly without having to enlarge the holes. Anything larger would not fit however.

Great product, pricey though
Added 8 of these to my cable wire deck. Didn't realize they need to be installed at the same time as the bottom and top handrail. I screwed the bottom section to the deck boards with the attached screw and nipple. I screwed the top section to the bottom of the top railing. They are sturdy. I used the picket as a template on where to drill the holes on my posts; just had to mark them before I installed the post skirt so the railing would sit flush. The picket cuts easily with a hacksaw or sawzall with a metal bit. The picket has more holes than I needed, so just put the extra holes toward the top and they are hidden by the top rail.

Odd spacing, but look nice
All the cable rail templates I have seen have holes 3 inch on center. These are 3 1/8" so I could not use the template I purchased. Also, screwing them in requires an act of magic, but it can be done.

Nice look
The poles are fine.DO NOT use screws provided with poles.Cheapest steel available they snap very easily.Once I used better quality screws everything went perfect.
