I live in a pretty dark and secluded area and my room is usually pretty dark at night. I bought this lamp hoping it would just be something to light my up room. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this lamp did such a great job.First off the design:I find the design aesthetically pleasing, almost like a work of art. It resembles something you would find in Japanese art. I like the way the light uniformly shines through the translucent paper-like covers so as not to be blinding when looking directly at the lamp. I also quite like the high quality wood trim. The paper-like covers are made of sturdy plastic so the lamp is durable. The overall build quality and craftsmanship is top notch.Secondly the features:I love the fact that it comes with a remote control. It is a game changer for comfort and convenience. The remote control works flawlessly , has many functions, and has great range. The remote allows you to turn the lamp on and off, dim the light, change the light color/temperature, and control multiple lamps if you have more than one. They really thought it through and future proofed it. I like the fact that you have so many different lighting colors to choose from to better match what room you are using it in and what season your location is currently experiencing.I hope in future products they allow more dim/fade levels, timers for it to automatically turn on and off, and perhaps more colors and maybe a built in bluetooth speaker. I feel like this could all be done through an app on your phone.It is a great versatile product and I quite enjoy using it to brighten my day.

On gray/cloudy days I use this light in the morning while drinking coffee. Its my understanding that people with seasonal affective disorder should use a light like this as soon as possible after waking up. For me, 30 minutes of exposure is generally perfect. I can feel my mood lifting almost immediately. I place the lamp about an arms length from me slightly off to the side and just chill out and sip my coffee. It really helps keep me motivated for the rest of the day. For this I am grateful. Be well.Pros: Remote allows for wide range of customization. Light is extremely attractive and organic. Very light weight and easily moved around the house. Well constructed and finished. Worth the price. I highly recommend this light. The volume of light produced is fabulous. Its not intense like a spotlight but rather soft, bright and space filling. Its like brain candy. ;} Seriously!Cons: None noted. But be aware, it's about the size of a dinner plate in diameter and perhaps five inches thick and it has a biggish footprint. Perhaps keep that in mind if space is limited. A smaller light would likely perform similarly and could be stashed away more easily. I keep mine out because its so attractive.

Even with blackout curtains and no other lighting this room is bright! I have to wake up at 2am for work and my sleep doctor and several friends recommended a sun lamp. I was just thinking I’d get a little cheap one but knew I would never use it if I had to take it in and out of a cabinet, etc. THIS ONE can stay on my kitchen table where I eat breakfast in the morning and not only look pretty but also make me happy looking at it! So easy to put together, very large, and the remote is a great addition so I don’t have to reach over to turn it on and off. This is the best sun lamp I’ve seen!

This is an all around EXCELLENT and solid product. I have used many sunlights and this one is by far the most well designed and the most pleasant for home aesthetics. I keep getting compliments about how cool it looks. I can tell a lot of thought and care went into the engineering.I have incorporated using this light to coincide with the direction of the sunrise for morning sun salutations. I have been using it every day since I received it and I have had noticeably higher energy and optimism. I highly recommend this sunlight for anyone who is looking to incorporate light therapy into their lifestyle.The light itself works perfectly. It has a great temperature range that I can quickly adjust depending on the time of day and how I am feeling. The night lamp mode is an awesome feature and works as a cool mood setter. It reminds me of a moon.The remote works great!The remote is one of the best features of this product. It is very responsive. I was pleasantly surprised when I experienced how fast you can dial down the brightness and color temperature. You can hold down the buttons and it responds fluidly. It is responsive and it works perfectly. :)It’s so easy to lose black remotes and electronics so these days I put colored tape and bright cases on black electronics just so I don’t lose them. I love how it is a white remote and distinctly stands out from other remotes.I love how lightweight the overall fixture is but at the same time it feels durable and solid. I can’t emphasize enough how excellent the engineering and design is on this product. It would look very cool in your home or yoga studio.

I love this because it blends in with the decor.Seems bright enough, but I wish the description were more clear about the brightness at different distances. Most medical therapy lamps will say the strength at 6, 12, or 18". The remote is also little glitchy. I hope this company can make these improvements because it's the only therapy light on the market that I've found that actually looks pretty!

This was a gift to my daughter in Maine. This time of year can be dreary. She works from home, mostly sitting in front of a computer and she set this up right where she does most of her work. Not too bright as to ba a distraction, and looks great compared to other SAD light "panels". She says it really does help with morale during these short winter days!
