Love that touch of chocolate in this rich blend!
This coffee gets me going every morning. It's dark and rich and also has that touch of chocolate flavor!

Best of the Starbucks dark roasts
I have tried every single Starbucks coffee roasts. I like the "blonde" lighter roasts and the medium roasts in the morning and the dark roasts later in the day. I like Caffe Verona the best of the Starbucks dark roasts because it is smooth, rich, and flavorful with smokey burned taste. I buy whole beans and use a burr grinder, preparing the coffee in an automatic drip, French press, or Italian moka pot.

"It may not be consistent but it is pretty good regardless"...
I stayed at a hotel and made a single cup and the dark chocolate cocoa sniff was clear and the chocolate in the mouth was light towards moderate. This drove me to buy my first bag of Starbuck's coffee ever. When I brewed a pot of this bag for the wife and I the chocolate sniff was there but not as clear and in the mouth it was very light but there. I may play around with various sweeteners to see if I can pull out more of the chocolate. In the hotel I may have used a tad of sugar in the raw whereas this time I used maple sugar. The beans are very dark in color (dark brown) but not oily or shiny. It brews bold and dark roast coffee. There is bitterness so I hit it with a sprinkle of salt to calm that down. The dark chocolate is more on the finish and aftertaste today. It is not sour and has a big body.I ate a piece of high quality imported Belgian dark chocolate truffle candy and that made it better. Today I used organic grass-fed whole milk and Canadian maple sugar in it. I will try various sweeteners (coconut sugar, brown sugar, sugar in the raw, honey) and see what might pull out more dark chocolate (if at all). The wife is picky on coffee and thought it was good regardless.

Can't go wrong with Starbucks!
I love how I've turned my husband into a coffee snob with this! He has always been a frugal, cheap is best kind of guy but I have finally gotten him into the well made coffees and Starbucks is now one of his favorites to brew at home. It stayed fresh for weeks, he has a special can he puts his beans in and he just loved the flavor. Verona is one of our favorites!

If you think Starbucks coffee is too strong...
I do not like strong coffee so when I go to a Starbucks coffee shop, I always order a cafe mocha or other sweetened coffee. I've tried to like straight-up coffee but couldn't handle Starbucks' typically ultra-strong punch, that is until I discovered Cafe Verona. It has a wonderfully intense yet smooth coffee flavor. Cafe Verona is strong but not bitter. Adding a touch of cream...well...coffee bliss for me. I don't order anything else now.

Delicious blend of coffee for use in an espresso machine, coffee maker, French press, or moka pot
Café Verona is by far my favorite Starbucks blend of coffee. It is strong and bold, yet smooth. It has no bitter aftertaste. I have used it in my espresso machine, my coffee coffeemaker, French press, and mocha pot and it makes an excellent and consistent cup of coffee. Check around for pricing here on Amazon as you can often find a cheaper from different distributors.

Plenty are good, but no matter where I am
I travel the world over and try a lot of coffee. Plenty are good, but no matter where I am, I want to wake to a French press full of Cafe Verona.
