Highly recommend
Nice amp, 4 channels of beef. When powered up the output volume slowly ramps up without any pop. The fan speed is on demand. The more power you require, the faster the fan speed. Haven't found them to be at all obnoxious. Wasn't really designed for in home stereo (those typically have no fan convection cooling). More geared for professional audio.

Good 4 channel Amp.
1st one came damaged and non-functional but was quickly replaced with a new one that worked as advertised.

It Delivers
Positives:- 4X1400W, weighs less than 10 lbs, and only takes up a single rack space - amazing!- I own a Behringer NX4-6000 that I use to run our mains (I'm using the Sound Town amp to power our monitors). It is rated at 1600W per channel. When comparing them side-by-side, my assessment is that the sound output of one Soundtown power amp channel is equal to one Behringer power amp channelNegatives:- The knobs are really small. I painted them white to see them on a dark stage- You can't bridge the channels together- Too new to judge durability. But I've had two Behringer NX4-6000 unit fails is less than three years, so I took a chance that the Sound Town power amp will de better. Too early to tell, but I've used it for 2 gigs now, so far so good

Returned... stalling on my refund
Only 2 channel play. I've tried every change possible to try get channel 3-4 to function. Very disappointed in false claims 600 Watts rms power to 4 separate channels with only 2 operational and those sound great but have not put my speakers to workout more like typical 100 watt reciever output. I should have known better when its too good to be true, its usually too good to be true!! returning amp! Amp was returned and accepted on Feb 26th, have talked to Amazon bout refund first told will take few days, then earlier this morning told I'd have refund in next hour or two, then the return page went from returned to asking if I want to return item again and what is my reason. Next phone call to customer service says I won't get refund until almost end of March. AMAZON has become a shady company to shop with!!

Surprisingly good. Reliable, sounds great.
I am a pro audio professional. I work with bands and DJs. I know that sound town is not really a respected “pro” brand. It’s kind of “cheapo”. Like Gemini or American DJ or something like that. But…I just needed something in my little test rack that i keep just inside my garage door so I could plug in and quickly test speakers as they came back from each gig. It didn’t have to be great. It just had to work.I have to say, that I am actually very impressed with how this amplifier sounds, considering how small it is, and how reliable it has been so far. I use it for testing everything from subwoofers to stage monitors to full range speakers. I even use it to test out active three-way larger PA speakers so each channel is doing a separate frequency range, I.e. external sub channel 1, lows ch2, mids ch3, highs ch4. Not only does it do all of this without any issues, but it seems to be loud as hell with plenty of headroom. I haven’t taken this to a gig, because I use QSC and Powersoft for the real gigs, but this little amp is worth a look if you are a small DJ or band on a budget. It’s actually hard to believe how much output this thing has while still being small enough to put in a backpack. Amazing.

A beast of an amplifier. Amazing power and sound for the size
I've used amplifiers from Peavey CS1200X to the fancy 1 RU "Italian" Powersoft digam series. I've been a DJ for over 20 years and I have to say that this little unknown amplifier holds its own. Currently for my small DJ rig I'm running 4 passive QSC AD 8t that I modified to fit on stands and I also run 2, modified 10 inch Meyer Subwoofers off of 1-4 channel Amp. I have a small DSP to cross over the frequencies going to the Amp. This Amp is extremely powerful. I had my doubts in the beginning but I'm very glad I bought this unit. Getting ready to buy more for my bigger systems.
