No wiring making this super easy
I'm going on holiday later in the med in a private villa. Because it doesn't belong to a big travel company I want to make sure that my safety hasn't been compromised with any leaky boilers!!! I read a few horror stories a few years ago about people being poisoned in holiday villas so I always take a carbon monoxide alarm away with me and this is the best that I have found so far. Why? Because this is a simple plug-in, but a fully functional alarm. Many have to be wired in, but this is going to be so convenient. This is an absolute must if you use coal fires or calor gas fires at home because something as simple as a blocked chimney can fill your room with dangerous fumes that you can't smell, but can kill you. My neighbour lost her sister due to a leaky calor gas fire and I've never forgotten that, so I can sit at this an absolute must when I use mine.A good buy. Every Home Should Have One.

Good, Minimalistic Detector
Most of the other carbon monoxide detectors I have used had screens which displayed CO levels. This detector has no display and only 1 LED that changes colour. This along with the white finish gives it a very minimalistic look. The detector is also quite good quality and comes with the 2 AA batteries that are required to operate it. I have mine sitting on a shelf in my kitchen so I didn't need to mount it anywhere, this meant that I was all set up and ready to go within a few minutes. If you are looking for a simple, neat CO detector, this is a great choice.

Compact Carbon Monoxide detector
Having a rental property we are obliged to provide CO detectors to keep our tenants safe. We have a sealed 10 year unit near the boiler in one of the bedrooms but decided that another unit in the living area would be a good idea, even if not legally necessary.Being quite compact this unit is very good for this purpose as it isn't too obtrusive. It is easy to fit, just needing a couple of small screws and plugs (provided) to attach it a wall. It is worth mentioning here though that you should check out the recommendations for installation, as it would be easy to put it in an area where it wouldn't necessarily detect a build up of CO until it was too late. There are two downsides to this unit though, one is the price, which at the time of writing is £24.99 there are similar units available at lower prices, the second is the batteries, they are AAs and will need replacing well before the 10 year life of the detector has been reached, although at least there is a low battery warning alarm. Personally I prefer those with sealed 10 year batteries, especially as they can be bought for less than the price of this one.

Slim, compact carbon monoxide alarm
This is a great little unit, very compact and much smaller than my old one so it's less obtrusive. Easy to install and set up.

Compact and easy to fit
I fitted this carbon monoxide alarm in the kitchen. It waseasy to fit and has a loud alarm. The only thing I wasn’t too keen on was the back covering. To replace batteries, the back cover has to be removed. A small item needs to be inserted into the gap, shown in the picture, to release the locking mechanism. No small tool has been provided, so I had to get creative and use an iPhone sim opening pin which is the right size. My finger nail was too big as the gap is narrow.Batteries included.

Heiman's easy to install Carbon Monoxide Alarm Detector.
This is a very small alarm, lightweight, and easy to attach with two screws to the back plate. 2 long-life batteries are included, just pull out the plastic tab to activate the batteries. There is a 10 year sensor lifespan which is ideal for peace of mind. The Heiman Carbon Monoxide Alarm Detector, CO Detector, has a silence function and a test button, so you can test it every now and then to make sure it's still working. A low battery warning will let you know when to change the batteries. At just 8.3 x 8.3 x 2.7 centimeters, it is well made in a solid functional design, and comes easily recommended.

Audible alarm and simple LED indication, 10 year life
This is a neat alarm 84mm x 84mm x 28mm that is intended to be wall mounted. A small LED indicates on / alarm / fault, with a loud alarm that sounds similar to a smoke detector. It has an operational life of ten years, but the two AA batteries will need to be changed during that period.I prefer a ppm readout (rather than an LED) so I'm aware of lower levels of carbon monoxide before it becomes a problem. It can be confusing when the supplied batteries first energise the alarm, as the LED goes through the power / alarm / fault indication for about 100 seconds.

A simple, high-quality detector.
This carbon monoxide detector is compact and well-made. It uses a single LED indicator strip that changes colour depending on the status of the detector. There is no numerical or graphical display. It comes with two alkaline AA batteries already fitted. One had a plastic seal, and with that removed, the detector went into its initialisation sequence. There is a removable backplate and screws for wall fixing. The device can be used freestanding, but it needs to be located carefully, at a suitable height, and location. The instructions are comprehensive.
