Q: Does the $400 42" model not include the pvc plate used to cover the propane tank hole? would i be able to order one (at a reasonable cost)?

42IN model did not have this pvc plate, and we did not have this part to sell.

Q: Does the 42 inch come with doors? It's described as Open when you look at the comparison chart.

Yes, the doors are as depicted in the pictures. As regards the interior storage access you do lose about 1 1/2” on either side due to the hinging.

Q: What is the interior depth? my small grille is 24” wide x 17.5 deep x 11” high. i can’t find an outdoor cabinet that is deep enough for my grille.

As our picture shown, we have the divider panel at middle of cabinet. both side can hold 15IN wide. So, your grill can not storage inside

Q: Can this be left outside uncovered ok? Then cover for the winter? Will the insode of the cabinet stay dry in rain if uncovered?

I have mine under a deep covered patio attached to the house so it doesn't get rained on and I've only had it for a few weeks. So far so good. but no long-term or wet weather experience.
