Use a roller
The directions say to apply with a squeegee heavy , they need to relook the process but I used a small foam roller & it is a good product

Nightmare Product -- NOT Recommended
Where do you start other than to say “DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME ON THIS PRODUCT”?First, it is NOT 3 gallons as stated in the product description. It is not even 1 gallon. It may be closer to .5 gallon but even that may be a stretch.I followed their instructions, and tub was well prepped over months as it was in a house in which I was currently not living. Cleaned with nylon brush attached to my 4” grinder then sanded down and wiped down multiple times to make sure there was no dust or residue.Next, I go to mix the products per the instructions and video. The stirring stick they give you is literally about the size of a pencil, but I figured “Okay, they think this is sufficient to stir the 2-parts.” Once combined, parts were stirred for around 6 minutes scraping to bottom and sides of the pail as best I could with the included inadequate stirring stick. I couldn’t see any streaks of hardener; so, I had to assume the product was fully mixed and began to apply. It was simultaneously thick and thin in that within about 20 minutes it became sticky while also running. I did my best to complete before it would get too hard. Loads still running down the side walls and pooling at the bottom of the tub (I had removed the drain so I wouldn’t have to deal with that area possibly peeling) It eventually got so heavy it broke through the tap on the other side in the basement. It is a good thing my basement is not finished or things could have actually been ruined. The next day, I went to remove the tape. The product on the tape seemed hard; so, I removed all the tape only to find some area still soft or sticky. The side walls of the tub were streaked but mostly hard as it has continued to run for hours.I thought: As long as it finishes hardening, I will be okay until the tub gets replaced.8 days later the soft and/or sticky spots are still soft and/or sticky. and the product although VERY SLOWLY seems to keep running in some of these spots. No way to get it to finish hardening and there was zero way to tell if the parts mixed properly. Now, I am stuck with trying to clean off all of this mess as the tub will be unusable otherwise.DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. There is obviously a product control problem with this homeowner DIY product. I have done enough projects for over 40 years (even ones with a 2-part mixture) that have never had this type of result.

Do it fast
I purchased this kit in October 2023 with the intent of refinishing my fiberglass tub and shower surround. I figured that it will be needing two kits so that’s what I purchased. I finally used it in July 2024. It’s a good thing the product has such a long shelf life. It doesn’t expire until July 2025. Here’s my experience:It should come in a smaller tub. You don’t use it all, even when doing my entire tub and shower surround. It is incredibly thick and it’s hard to get on evenly. I had read or seen in a video that you can use the product for 12 hours, but the instructions say you can only use it for 40 minutes. Doing the entirety of tub and shower takes longer than 40 minutes. The product gets incredibly hot after the 40 minutes.I stirred it for the recommended amount of time with the silly stir stick, but still, once it dried, looked like it was thin in some areas and I could see the original almond color coming through. When I was running out of time, I must’ve put it on thicker, so I have lots and lots and lots of drip marks. That said, this product dries so high gloss that some of the drips aren’t noticeable. I also wasted half of the container.Since I used only one kit for the first layer, I decided to sand as suggested by the manufacturer, and in some spots it sanded straight through. When I open the second kit, I only used half of it at first so that I could control it better. Again, even though I was trying to be conscientious of time, the material started to get thick by the time I got to the inner tub section. I am going to apply a third coat because like I said, in some areas it had sanded through and it needs another.I would recommend you also go ahead and remove all of the tub hardware if you can.And speaking of the stir stick, for some reason it is a round dowel that is too short and barely allows you to have two inches to grip it while stirring to the bottom of the container. Just use a paint stir stick instead.I will follow up this review after some use.

Sweat equals water.
This product really does work well, however, keep in mind that dripping sweat is the same as dripping water from the faucet. Directions for this product and others like it tell you to cover any faucets against possible leakage, but, if it’s a little too warm for you, personally, well, then your body becomes the dripping faucet…
